brand identity for Made Merrily Event Plannning 🤎 had soooo much fun with this branding project!! our goal was to keep things vintage and fresh, like 1950s wedding chapel vibes. It is so fun and I am still obsessing over the color palette! the minute I saw the teal and brown together I knew it was perfect. the primary logo features a hand drawn typography with a worn in texture. I’ve been marveling at women a lot lately. I’ve also not been feeling so great about the woman I am today. Like Alice in Wonderland, I feel like I’ve lost my muchness. But I recently subscribed to @dearbeautifulfriend’s Sunday newsletter and two Sundays ago it was all about honoring your inner child. One of the prompts was to remember one thing you loved as a child and try to reintroduce it into your life. This triggered a memory of young Ayrïd who was fearless and created her own joy. She was a natural problem solver, she didn’t let a lack of resources stop her from doing what she wanted to do, in her own way. This social media trend felt like a great time to honor her and reclaim my muchness. And then I onboarded someone to help me keep my muchness and I listed out all of the people I had hired, contracted, collaborated with since 2018 and couldn’t believe the number when I took it all in. Nostalgia sometimes has a lovely way of showing us who we are, and propelling us forward (once we don’t get too stuck in the past). This all felt like the perfect way to honour and celebrate this year’s International Women’s Day! Women can do anything, we just have to want it enough. I hope we all hold on to our muchness! 💜
