Nostalgic walks down hallways, reconnecting with old professors and helping current students… this is the magic of volunteering at MRU. ✨

Thank you to all of the wonderful alum volunteers who participated in Alumni Classroom Takeover! Your heartfelt presentations, words of advice and vulnerability inspires students for the road ahead. The Mount Royal University community is better because you’re in it. 💙

“5 Iranian teenagers were arrested for dancing in public to “Calm Down” by Rema and Selena Gomez.” After being coerced into an apology video, the teenagers have gone missing.

“This video was posted on International Women’s Day and it has since gone viral, which inspired women all over the world to join in support.”
“Dancing in public, wearing crop tops and not wearing hijabs is still illegal in Iran, doing this is seen as an act of defiance, and can have harsh consequences.”
Video by @screenshothq 🙏

How blessed we are for the freedom to dance. We continue to be in solidarity with our sisters in 🇮🇷 Iran

I had the honour to celebrate international women’s day at EMBRACE EQUITY: Women Arise Conference we dance for spiritual, mental and physical health, but we also dance for one another.
This is why I do what I do. Come dance with me.
