Glad my daughter Addie was able to be at Carterville’s Caidence Phillips making it official signing with the University of Illinois to continue her softball career! 🥎

She was able to get a picture with Caidence Phillips & University of Tennessee’s & Carterville’s Amayah Doyle.

Both girls are the absolute best role models for young girls in Southern Illinois who play softball or in general! 🥎

Happy for you both and I hope one day we see your Tennessee and U of I teams play against one another.

It’s University of Illinois Softball commit, Caidence Phillips Senior year which is also her 4th and final year being a student coach for the the Junior High Softball Carterville Lady Lions. Phillips, a pitcher, has been a tremendous role model for the JH group of Lady Lions for 4 years now. I speak from personal experience that Caidence is a sweet girl and a role model for any younger Southern Illinois athlete that has crossed her path. It is truly a blessing that we have a STAR well known local softball player who is so humble and so willing to commit so much time to helping in mentoring the youth in not only softball but in life situations as well. Once she heads to Urbana Champaign we will all be cheering her on but her day to day impact on mentoring young lives will be missed in not only Carterville but Southern Illinois as a whole! Caidence Phillips, you are a a gem and I’ve seen how much my own looks up to you and know that is shared by so many young girls across the region!

Blessed to help and speak at FCA Power Camp this week. I shared with many young campers about my faith in God, love for softball, recruiting journey, and how God led me to my future college softball home at U of I. I love sharing my story to help lead young athletes towards Christ ✝️ and sports. I-L-L 🔷🔶

🚨 #BREAKINGNEWS 🚨 Caidence Phillips has committed to the University of Illinois. The Carterville incoming Senior Star pitcher has committed to the Illini to continue her softball and academic career! Phillips had a phenomenal Junior year and was a huge factor in Carterville making back to back State Championship game appearances! One more high school year and then off to Illinois where I am sure she will excel! Congratulations Caidence and family! This is big news!

Our team won 3-0. Blessed to have homerun #4 this season and a shutout with 13k’s with the help of my defense. Congratulations to freshman Lainey Workman on her first high school homerun too!🧡💙
