I've been in art mode for the last several months and realized I never got around to posting these shots from the Ian Bostridge Masterclass @nebulaperformances . Had such a lovely time singing with @alicjarokita.pianist. Looking forward to doing more singing again in the coming months! 💖✨

The best afternoon ever @nebulaperformances with romantic Spanish and Flamenco music provided by instruments not associated at all with Flamenco style including trombone, harp and also the bass played by @michaelrushmusic which accompanied @wenwen_du112 on Piano, guitar by the famous @josue_tacoronte all the way from Mexico and Flamenco dancing with castanets by @lindahayesmusic and of course a couple of opera singers.
The afternoon went by too fast and the reception afterwards was spectacular as always. Thank you again to the lovely, charming, and talented @wenwen_du112 for reserving me a front row seat and extending an invitation to be a part of this intimate musically romantic day.

Recorded this gem of Spanish Renaissance music before an audition today for the Early Music Ensemble course at UBC @ubc_music. Please wish me luck. 🍀🤞😁

Let’s explain an opera while chaotically also going to that opera! 🌟

I went to see @nebulaperformances’ production of Pagliacci and I had a blast! @wenwen_du112 is absolutely phenomenal, her cast was excellent, and the opportunity to see such an intense opera in such an intimate space was a total joy. Indie opera isn’t stuffy - it’s artists who want to do what they love, all coming together and making it happen through sheer force of will, and that’s super powerful to witness!

And what an opera to start this series off with, too - an opera about (among many things) the process of artists making art! 💪🏼

Thanks for the ticket (all opinions my own) ✨ Where will I go to chaotically explain an opera next?!

Following the #tbt trend, here's an excerpt from my performance in the 7th Vancouver Classical Guitar Festival 2026, which was held at Capilano University Centre for the Performing Arts, on August 14th, 2026.

This fun piece is named Pixaim, written by the amazing Brazilian composer and teacher @marcopereiraguitar, featuring one of the most iconic and vibrant dances from Northeast Brazil called Frevo.

I have no words to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who made the VCGFest 2026 happen, especially my dear friends @medinaguitar and @lucidaa_z for inviting me to perform and be part of the faculty of the festival. The VCGFest 2026 was a blast, indeed!

Thank you again to @wenwen_du112 for your generous hospitality for my 2nd showing of "I PAGLIACCI" for the Closing Night of your successful run from when I was there for the Opening Night and allowing me to sit in the reserved from row seat next to the prolific former Conductor of the Shanghai National Symphony and also the West Coast Philharmonic Orchestra @ruishizhou .
I had a fascinating conversation meeting him for the first time. I loved this production so much that I had to come back for a second time and it superbly aged like a fine bottle of wine. Kudos to the incredible leading characters portrayed by @wanshuai_yu , @liam.robertson.5 @hollymatic12 @alexanderdobson @mx.chung and @kevinnthomas
I felt the strong passionate cycle of emotions of: Jealousy, Anger, Love, and Revenge.....the perfect recipe for a successful opera which is time-tested and true. The setting for this opera at the intimate Nebula Performance Theatre was perfect for the staging of this monumental opera. I can't wait to see which Opera they will be mounting next and hopefully I'll be back in the front row again. BRAVO TUTTI
