book review🌊 The Waves by Virginia Woolf ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book follows six friends from childhood through adulthood, told entirely through their inner thoughts instead of a traditional plot. It captures how time passes, how friendships shift, and how each person experiences life differently, with the movement of the sea running through the book. The writing is beautiful, focusing more on monologue rather than plot. It’s a slow burn but you feel a variety of emotions that makes for a lovely reading experience. I’m on my second read of Red Rising, and since it’s my all-time favorite, I made a mood board for each book. If you haven’t started the series yet, I highly recommend it, especially reading past the first book!! The character growth, expanding story, and unforgettable world are unmatched for me. These books also feature some of the fiercest and smartest female characters l’ve ever read and they’re a huge part of why I love this series.
