The courage of student movements have broken so many chains that held our ancestors back from liberation. We have a duty to invest in public education and ensure our march towards freedom continues.

I am grateful and proud to earn the support of college student leaders and CPS graduates like Angel Naranjos and Carolina Carchi who are fighting for us all.

Dr Martin Luther King Jr. recognized that if Chicagoans could dismantle poverty, militarism, and racism in their city, freedom could rise across our country. Without our students, we have no hope to get there. Join the movement of the only majority in our country - the working class.

Stop the helicopters, pass the PRO act, fully fund our schools, and tax the rich! ✊🏽✊🏽✊🏽

Never let the spineless gaslight you into believing that you don’t have one. Never let them excuse their way into making you believe this cannot be stopped. Never let them convince you that art is not political. Satanyahu lies, more people d*e.

This isn’t separate from us. This isn’t “their problem.” This is us. If an artist speaking out bothers you so much, you have to ask yourself, is it because it makes it harder for you to avoid or ignore?

So called leaders will tell you that “enforcement is difficult” and then go ahead and make it easy to carry out the depravity. You have to ask. Why is it so easy for them to steal, m*rder, lie? Silence is violence and they thrive on it.

At the end of the day, never forget, we are the revolution. @bruxa.magazine

Proud to stand in solidarity with @mesaatuic @sanctuaryforalluic condemning the invitation of UIC administration for Border Patrol to recruit students at a job fair organized by the college of business administration. We demand that UIC honors their designation as a Hispanic Service Institution by doing all they can to protect students from ICE, and stand with students to keep all DHS institutions off campus and out of our city. Historically the student movement has always been on the right side of history #Abolish ICE #freepalestine🇵🇸

Passed by the Haymarket Martyrs mural with some friends at Josefa Ortiz De Domínguez Elementary School (formerly called Joseph Gary Elementary School).

For those who don’t know, Gary is the pig judge that sentenced 8 Haymarket militants to death. Fighters carrying out the struggle for the 8 hour work day. It’s great that little Chicanitas and Chicanitos can go to a school now named after a Mexicana anti-colonial fighter.

Great location choice for the mural, which reads, “Que La Libertad Nos Bese En Los Labios Siempre” [May Liberty Kiss Us In The Lips, Always]

SEP 30–CHICAGO, IL:

Protestors gathered at Michigan and Wacker in an emergency protest, responding to increased ICE presence in the city of Chicago. Locals then took the streets and marched, letting their voices and demands be heard. Organized by the Coalition Against the Trump Agenda, echoes of “Money for jobs and education, not for war and deportation!” were heard throughout the evening.

From illegally inflicting violence on community members protesting the facility in Broadview, including press, to performing raids and intimidation tactics across the city, ICE has made its emboldened presence here in Chicago clear. Evidently, Chicago residents are making it clear that ICE is not welcome here.
