Maybe, it is the #detroit dust in my bones.

Maybe, it is the way rock n roll on the stereo forms some of my earliest memories.

But, this connection to serving the belonging that arises from places of art brings me life.

When I look back on these first years of me stepping more fully into business ownership and creative identity, I know I will always feel humbled to meet directly so many creatives that have directly inspired me through their own crafts.

So in the spirit of sharing craft, Leutewelt has a new #soundcloud mix out. A brief recording from a set led by Leutewelt from 2 AM through the dawn at 7 AM. @magisus.mathi selects along the way as well.

Enjoy.

Okay, okay - we are finally crawling out of our summer hibernation cave to make sure your Folsom weekend kickoff is correct. Your welcome.

Joining MÜLL residents Fawks and Kudeki are two Portugal-based artists that we have been drooling over long before the birth of MÜLL - Rene Wise and Jen Cardini.

And as always, we will be going late. Cause it’s simply poor etiquette to stop the party without a cute ass sunrise. See you on the dance floor.

All trash, no class

A grand weekend spent supporting and visioning an inter-dependent future.

Not only did my skills across event production aid @regenerarising success, the shared ethos and goals with my biotechnology immersion organization @936tech has me humbled and determined. I even heard a rumor that Leutewelt made an appearance to lead the after-party revelry through the night and into the dawn. 🤫

By the way, @936tech is needing your help. DM us your contacts in schools, science centers, and other places of education. We are setting a goal to scale to thousands of BioBlocks Starter Kits distributed around the globe by year end and your help makes this possible!

The sound travels, and so do you…

Loved our immersive setup collaboration in San Francisco with @neptune.audio - true magicians hand building speakers with an amount of precision and care that’s rare.

What a treat.

6 weeks ago, bodies melted onto each other into puddles and became part of the fleshy grotesque world we spent months building for the Stratus in the Void chill room at the Parameter weekender.

over the course of many late nights, our (insanely cute and goated) Void team went on a journey of “body horror edging”: exploring corporeality in somatic spaces, the earth and human as one landscape, balanced between comfort and the grotesque. we experimented with cabbage preservation, gallons of bioplastic pours, topographical contours of the flesh, bruise studies, and more.

we’re still recovering from that whirlwind of a production but also miss it deeply. it was a collaboration in the purest sense of the word. so many skillsets and brains coming together to create an experience that none of us could have managed alone.

for us, this one really wouldn’t have been possible without the past couple of years of the Void, bringing us to the right people, the right resources, the right-ish know-how. ask us to do Stratus in the Void any earlier and it would have felt so much more daunting than exciting.

thank u to @parameter_sf for the trust
@staymellows & @c__z__ of @___stratus_ for being the best showrunners, co-curators, and co-conspirators.

our void team:
@li_na_bo - cabbages + fleshy columns, a skilled navigator of the conceptual
@peterpalombi - hypercapable dreamer + builder, most everything in the space has been graced w/ his touch <3
@exteeng - bioplastics, snack provider, mood nourisher
@adam____kennedy - dad
@taiwanesenoodles - green room vibifier + graceful navigator of chaos :)
@driedgrape - satellite chill spaces + stand-in delegator
@postfemale, @andi_doud, @ecdysis.exp - the cutest AV team, actually tho
@teddyteedz - wood whisperer
@_h4n4_13 - for joining us all week T_T
@all volunteers - build + strike support, mvps

thank u to fellow collaborators:
@neptune.audio - 10x subs + epic sound
@crescendoresearch - bass tiles for somatic melting
@_dustcollective - lighting + besties
@interiorjoke - scent that we’re still dreaming about
@all the artists that performed in the space + brought it to life

we r all bonded forever now <3

SEE U SOON,
Anne & Milana

Take away one sense and the others get way louder.

It’s an old principle of perception: disturb what the body reads as normal, and attention snaps to whatever’s been changed.

Cover the eyes and the brain, suddenly missing its main source of information, turns the volume up on everything else, especially sound, and starts hunting for it in the dark.

Now move the sound. Around the head, overhead, passing close and drifting away. The brain locks on completely. It has nothing else to hold, so it follows, and in following sound it cannot see, attention stops pointing outward at the world and turns all the way in.

That’s the moment the bodies start to listen. The nervous system settles, the searching stops, and sound has somewhere to land.

Fertile soil for insight, and renewed perspective.

San Francisco.

The room buzzing with builders and creatives, strangers and friends. All of them transported into a different realm - that none of them saw coming.

Thank you for the invitation @longjourneyventures & @zmwang

Props to @neptune.audio for the crisp sound, Lupine and @capitolartsf for the beautiful space and @jeroen_desmet for capturing the magic.

We’ll be back.

Not wellness. Not entertainment. Not a sound bath.

S p a c i o u s is a transcendental sonic experience.

Think of it as the love child of a ceremony, a concert, and a scientific protocol.
