“Get out of your head.” Easy to say. But how do we actually do it?

So many of the women I work with understand themselves deeply. They know their patterns and where they come from. Yet when discomfort shows up, they still find themselves trying to think their way into feeling better.

So much of my work is helping women practice allowing a feeling without immediately trying to solve it. But phrases like “feel your feelings” and “tolerate discomfort” can feel abstract without an opportunity to experience what they mean.

That was the intention behind Get Out of Your Head, the evening I co-hosted with Zena Margolis of @nervnyc

When Zena first shared her vision of making breathwork more accessible, I saw a natural pairing. Together, we combined The SWAN Method with guided breathwork, bringing the psychological and physical pieces of this work into one experience. It was a chance to recognize our patterns, connect with what we’re feeling, and create more space between discomfort and how we respond.

Sharing that space with SWANs from so many different walks of life was so meaningful to me. I left feeling more connected to myself and to the work I want to put into the world.

Thank you, Zena, and everyone who joined us. I’m grateful we got to share this experience together, and I’m looking forward to more to come!
