POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I noticed this month that almost every Mailbox question had a little elder care in it… whether it was front and center or eventually emerged as we got into the details.

@renna_dimes and I are both in a similar season of figuring out how to balance the care across generations while building. We’ve found more relief not going at it alone.

We’ll be at it again this week, working through our to-dos with the New Dimes community. Join us on Wednesday if you’d also like some company. 💗

THE #1 compliment I get from a stranger for a physical feature is about my hair. People will yell a sweet thing across the street at these long, thick Syrian locks.

Ever since he told me, I think of my stylist and friend of 20+ years — who runs a monthly Hair Stylist Stock Club, where stylists trade on-the-floor intel and 🤓 research notes so every one of them retires well.

No finance degrees. No advisors. Just red leather booths, filthy martinis, and a plan.

So now every compliment, I have a wee moment, and pass those blessings through as 💰💰💰🪄🪄🪄. My guy my guy my guy. I sure know how to pick ’em.

P.S. This is exactly the kind of money story we tell at New Dimes: wealth shouldn’t be whispered about. Talk loud, talk often →

April was a special month because it was financial literacy month 👩🏽‍🏫 one message I always share in these spaces is to start seeing money like a language! 🔤 Fluency reminds us this is a skill that can be learned 👏🏽

So grateful for the chance to educate and empower others 🤓

It has been a rough two+ weeks. I’m reflecting on a lot and feeling the ups and downs of it all. But to get this on the Jupiter Full moon of abundance? Like? Ma’am(s) @new_dimes 🥹

Abundance is afoot.

↓ Got any questions about navigating hard money convos with your immigrant parents? Share them/vent/cry a bit in the comments!

We are so lucky to be chatting with the incredible writer, author and activist @michellekimkim about her journey to immigrate her family from Korea.

Michelle MiJung Kim knows first hand that first-gen family money challenges can get hairy, both emotionally and financially, and she’s down to answer a Q or two for the @new_dimes crew.

↓↓ Leave your questions and we may address yours on an upcoming project!
