We’ve come to the realization that we’re not going to be able to save everybody, man. And that’s a hard reality to accept when you’re out here genuinely trying to push peace and save lives.

LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE! 💯

This social media culture has too many people speaking recklessly, chasing attention, disrespecting people, making threats, and putting anything on the internet for likes and views.

But what people fail to understand is that SOCIAL MEDIA IS VIRTUAL, BUT THE CONSEQUENCES CAN BE REAL!

Everybody doesn’t process disrespect the same way. Everybody isn’t mentally or emotionally equipped to handle what you’re putting out there. And everybody isn’t playing the same game you’re playing!

Some people are carrying real trauma, anger, pain, and unresolved issues. You never know what somebody else is going through 🙏🏾

Newdirection360 pulled up on a young baby bro out here doing the right thing and hustling the right way. 💯🙌🏾

We gotta support our young people when we see them choosing a positive path. Little bro be out there around 4:30–5:00 PM after school, so if you’re riding through, pull up, support him, and show him some love.

He also dropped a powerful positive message and that’s important because we gotta listen to our youth. They’re not just tomorrow… they’re part of the solution TODAY.

Special shout out to the West Ward Team!!! They may be one of the most solid, hardest working teams in Essex County. I always love partnering with and being around them. Yesterday was filled with fun, free food, free hair braiding, free haircuts and ton of resources.

If you know me, you know I’m a literacy advocate, 📚 so I gave out over a hundred FREE books and other fun gifts and resources.

Thank you to Ms. Dana @thequeendana , @davecomo and Kelvin from the @essexcountycommissioners team for helping me set up, clean up and hold it down.
