An entire evening of play, connection, exploration, and movement that strengthens body and mind.

The first video is Budokon Yoga: a movement modality where yoga meets martial arts and animal movement. It’s slow, strong, precise, and it feels as powerful as it looks.

This night took place at @nextjump, a company built on the belief that community makes us grow stronger. I got to share my way of doing that with these awesome people: through movement and play.

Play and curiosity are at the center of everything I teach, from mobility & yoga to the classroom, from kids to adults. Mind-body connection and GAMES are how we connect, grow, and make memories that last.

Creating experiences like these is what I live for.

Thank you so much to everyone who was part of this beautiful night 💫

Want in on the next one? I’m leading yoga + mobility at @thedojonyc this Saturday, Oct 10, 10-11am. Open to everyone. Event link in my bio.

His father could have ended world hunger. But he couldn’t present the work.
Charlie Kim founder and co-CEO of @nextjump was 14, sitting in his father’s office at 5am, fixing grammatical errors on a paper. He picked up a one-page article on the desk. It said his father was one of the most successful scientists in the world. And that he’d never succeed because of his impediments. His writing. His presentation skills. His stutter.
Charlie grew up with the same stutter. He assumed the same limits.
Then one day he walked into a fundraising meeting and realized his stutter was gone.
And a thought arrived that he’d never had before.
Maybe God fixed it so he could help his father end world hunger, instead of building a tech company.

The jury wanted to know how to get into our leadership academy. @meghanmessenger of @nextjump
I didn’t find that out until after the judge said we were free to go. I was running out of the courtroom, half expecting him to change his mind, when I saw one of the jurors in the courtyard.
I mouthed thank you. She walked closer. I asked if I could hug her. She said yes.
Then she told me she was sorry for what we’d been through. That they’d been paying attention to the work we do. That in the jury room they’d been joking about how to get in.
I thought she looked angry the whole trial. She was. She was angry the government was wasting her time.

It was great to facilitate my growth experience this morning with the @nextjump team. So many great observations and conversations. It is a pleasure to do this work. Thank you so much for having me 🙏

With increasing uncertainty everywhere, its more important than ever that we continue to build ourselves and work on things that nobody can ever take away from us. Keep learning, keep growing and build the capacity to hold more. 💪🙌

The workplace (and world) is changing more rapidly than ever, between AI/tech advancements, geopolitical shifts, redundancies, org restructures, cost of living, etc.. I could go on!

With all this, employees and leaders are being asked to navigate increasing levels of complexity, ambiguity, and responsibility whilst ALSO helping others do the same.

But what if the challenge isn’t the pace of change itself, but instead our capacity to hold it?

While the world doesn’t get easier, we can work to become stronger by building our internal capacity to meet change differently. That’s why I’m excited to collaborate with the @nextjump team in September to host my facilitated growth experience “Leading through Uncertainty, Building the Capacity to Hold More.”

This will be an ACTIVE session with the opportunity to reflect, connect with others, and explore what we’re each being asked to develop as we navigate an ever changing world. If you’d like to learn more, check out the link in stories or comment below and I’ll DM it to you.
