🏁 5th Italian International Championship S1 Fast 🏁
The final round of the season at Pomposa is in the books with a super positive result! It wasn’t easy, but I had an absolute blast out there. 🚀

QP: P14 (P7 in class)
Race 1: P14 (P8 in class)
Sprint: P13 (P6 in class)
Race 3: P14 (P7 in class)

This track is notorious for its lack of grip, and as expected, the asphalt section felt just like ice. I managed to set a decent lap right away in qualifying, but as the dirt got dragged onto the tarmac, the track became increasingly slippery and improving was impossible.

In Race 1, I got a mega start and passed a couple of riders immediately. I battled hard for the first few laps, learning a lot from the faster guys ahead. Unfortunately, I tipped over in a super slow hairpin, and they broke away. I brought it home in 14th with plenty of new track insights.

I took those lessons straight into the Sprint, and it paid off! I was able to fight for my position much better. Even though the top guys eventually pulled away, the gap was much smaller than in Race 1. Definitely a win in my book! 📈

Race 3 was pure adrenaline. I had a great battle and managed to break away slightly after making a pass. Shortly after, a rider who had crashed earlier caught up, and I started defending with everything I had. He tried a block pass on me in the off-road section but ended up crashing right into me. I got stuck on top of the sand berm while he went down, allowing the rider I was battling before to pass us both. By the time I got the bike out of the sand, the gap was too big, so I just focused on bringing the points home.

With these results, I finished 5th overall in the Championship! 🏆
I was originally aiming for a top 10 finish, so I am incredibly happy with how this year turned out! 😁 But the season isn't over just yet...

Tomorrow we head out for our biggest challenge of the year: @superbiker_mettet 🇧🇪. See you in Belgium! ✈️

A huge thank you to all my sponsors and supporters who made this amazing journey possible!! 🙌🙌

Karns / TST Industries Racing Earns First Win of the Season in Dramatic Final Weekend
It was an emotional, up-and-down weekend for the “little team that could”—one that ended with a breakthrough victory.
The team was disappointed to lose Solly Mervis after he sustained an injury while competing in Italy. With one rider sidelined, the team still had work to do: put in a strong performance at the final race of the season.
Kevin Olmedo and Isaac Woodworth came out swinging in practice and qualifying. Kevin led the charge, with Isaac close behind. Isaac broke the track record, and Kevin followed by breaking it again. The team came in for fresh tires, hoping to go even faster—but with 10 minutes remaining, Kevin suffered a serious crash that brought out a red flag. After the session resumed, Isaac also crashed.
Despite the setbacks, the team finished qualifying with Isaac and Kevin second and third on the grid. The team soon learned that Kevin’s injuries were more serious than first expected, and he was declared unfit to continue.
With Isaac the team’s only remaining rider, the crew worked late into the night to repair his bike and give him the best chance to compete. Heavy overnight rain canceled the second qualifying session, leaving the team to wait for race time.
Twins Cup race 1 saw Isaac launching his Karns Performance/TST Industries Suzuki GSX-8r off the line with a big wheelie in the wet conditions, then made a pass for the lead. He led the race through the final lap, when another rider passed him illegally under yellow. Isaac held close in second and brought the bike safely to the finish. After reviewing the footage, MotoAmerica awarded Isaac and the team the victory—their first win of the season!
It was a defining moment for the team and proof of what it could accomplish through determination and teamwork.
“We’re thrilled with this win,” said Jason Karns, Team Principal. “The only thing better than this feeling would be having Solly and Kevin here to compete and share it with us. We wish them both a speedy recovery and look forward to next year.”
