Do you, personally, know, support and use (pay) for the product(s) and/or service(s) of a young entrepreneur?

Turning my passion of an all-natural, plant-based skincare, haircare company into a thriving business has always been my dream, but as a female entrepreneur in Ghana, the journey hasn’t been easy.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is access to finance. Pitching to investors is daunting because they often do not take you seriously as a woman. No matter how experienced you are, they perceive you as ‘weak’, and that can be disheartening and, in our culture, challenging.

Taking the Women Entrepreneurship Transformation Program (WETP) workshop was a game-changer. I learned how to strengthen my investor pitch and break free from limiting beliefs. I was also introduced to so many potential funding avenues that I didn’t even know existed.

I am applying that knowledge I received to improve my financial and operational strategies as well as my investor pitches; making them clearer and more impactful. I am also using the resources and network I gained from to explore new funding opportunities and partnerships that align with my company’s growth.

Now Nguvu Global Ltd is not just growing, I am also changing the way female entrepreneurs like me are perceived in Ghana.

We thank you for your support and donations to the Bright Future Academy by Nguvu Foundation.
The shea production women of Gupanarigu community in Tamale now have a pre-school for their little ones and we are truly grateful.
We couldn’t have achieved this goal without you!

😭☀️WE ARE BUILDING A SCHOOL IN GHANA!!

I vividly remember having conversations with my dad as a child about what we could do to help people ‘back home’ and I’m so honoured that the community of sisters @reneekapuku and I have been building @tomysisterhood can partner with @nguvufoundation @nguvusheacare led by my incredible friend @freditta__ to make this happen! 💌

💰 Over the next 6 months we’re going to be raising £10,000 to build ‘The Bright Future Academy’ which will be a free preschool for the children of the women who work at @nguvusheacare to attend whilst their mothers work to provide for their families.

So please please please donate using the link in my bio! 🙏🏾

👀 I want to make sure that we aren’t just entertained listening to women’s issues, but that we are actually engaged in doing women’s work!

And two of the greatest challenges to gender equity that women are facing right now is poverty and the affordability of childcare.

🤎 So if you can, please help us support these women’s economic development by providing their children with a quality education and a bright future.

Our Shea Butter production is important to us but what’s more important is the Women who produce the Shea Butter. As a way to #EmbraceEquity we @nguvufoundation partnered with the Mastercard Foundation @mastercardfoundation and Global Shea Alliance @globalshea to train and equip the women of the Gupanarigu Shea Processing Centre. This also included the donation of very essential PPEs.
