I really do believe in the saying you are what you eat. 🤍

Not in a restrictive, you-can-never-have-that kind of way, but in the way food makes you FEEL. Your energy, your mood, your digestion, your skin, how you show up in your day-to-day life. It all adds up.

I’m a big believer in making healthier swaps where you can, especially when it comes to the snacks I’m giving my boys every day. Looking at ingredients, choosing whole foods where possible and finding alternatives that are just as easy to grab on the go.

But I’m also a big believer in the 80/20 approach. It’s someone’s birthday? Give me the chocolate cake. Dinner out? I’m ordering the fries and enjoying the glass of red. 😂 Food is meant to bring us joy, too!

For me, it’s never about being perfect. It’s about the little choices we make consistently and how much better we can feel when we start nourishing our bodies rather than just fuelling them.

Small swaps really can make a difference. And healthy doesn’t have to mean boring. 🤌🏼

Save this for your next supermarket shop and tell me your favourite healthy grab-and-go snack below! 👇🏼

Mango, coconut and passionfruit overnight oats 🥭🤍

A little tropical breakfast to look forward to in the morning!

For the oats (serves 1) :
• ½ cup rolled oats
• 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 1 tbsp chopped dried mango @nibblish
• 1 tbsp chopped macadamias
• 1 tbsp shredded coconut
• 1 tsp maple syrup
• ⅓ cup light milk
• 2 heaped tbsp passionfruit yoghurt (I used the @chobaniau Fit range)

Mix everything together in the individual bowls. Add a little more maple syrup if you like it sweeter.

For the topping: Blend ¼ cup fresh or thawed mango with 1 tsp maple syrup, then spoon it over the oats. Set in the fridge overnight.

You can prep a few breakfasts ahead, but I personally think these taste best within 1-2 days!

I’m not really a prep for the whole week person, I still want my meals to taste freshly made which is why I love how this brekky only takes about 5 minutes to throw together the night before (however you can absolutely still prep for the week ahead especially if you are time poor!) 🫶

enjoy xx

WANTED: The dad

Been noticing the kids snacks depleting quicker than what I’m dishing them out so I decided to get to the bottom of it.

30 hours, 5 counts of snack theft and as it appears, 5 outfits that I’ll be washing tomorrow 🫠

He also missed the popcorn throw 🤣 ALSO he tells me he doesn’t use air pods anymore 😫

Stolen items include Ceres Organics Coconut Bites, Nibblish gently baked mango and strawberry, Yava popcorn bites and La Tortilleria Blue Totopos.

Turns out the snacks are for all ages.

In my opinion the simple reason as to why the Australian heath star rating is the way it is...

It's to keep everyone sick, fat & unhealthy.
