Somewhere between the surface and the seafloor, a different kind of community reveals itself.

The FV Lena Shipwreck rests quietly now—no longer a vessel of industry, but a gathering place for life.

Soft corals finding hold in rusted edges, schools of fish weaving through its frame, light pouring down like a slow blessing.

And we arrive… not as visitors, but as participants in something already happening.

On this dive, there was another kind of moment too—playful, human, and deeply tender.

@bronwyndelriviere & Luc, sharing their first shipwreck freedive together, captured in a few cheeky underwater “couple photos” that somehow say everything about why we do this.

Because community lives on many levels here: in the reef reclaiming steel, in the quiet trust of a buddy pair, in the laughter that follows us back to the surface.

To dive a place like Lena is to feel it—that belonging isn’t something we create.

It’s something we enter into.

Grateful for this crew, this place,and the many forms of connection that meet beneath the surface.

Some happy snaps from the last week with our guests on LHI 🌴

One of the biggest takeaways for us is watching as our guests form friendships. Everyone always comes from such different walks of life, but we are always bound by one common interest 💙 It’s the community that is created instantly from just one week together is so special.

All of our expedition guests are invited into our Liv For The Sea Online Ocean Community where they can continue their freediving journey amongst like minded souls…because we never want it all to end when the trip is over!

Many people don’t have an ocean community where they come from, so it’s such an awesome way to stay connected and inspired amongst others who also froth out on the big blue and all her wonder 😍

I feel incredibly grateful to be the one to grow you into your inner fish. I thank you for having the trust and determination within yourself!! To watch you all flourish into the divers we know is incredibly humbling and we hope the oceans spell captivates you for life. It sure has done for me.

There are sooooo many people to thank for this year, but I’m going to give it a red hot crack. We don’t always make running expeditions the easiest of tasks and so we rely on our incredible communities to support us when we need them, and boy do they deliver 🥰
