• left LiSTNR and launched Bedou

• booked the PM and the Greens leader on Abbie’s podcast

• launched my own podcast, Twice Displaced

• walked with 300,000 people for Palestine

• found my way back to my Arab community after eight years

• watched people I love get married (Indian style, no notes)

• spent real time with family: in Jordan, the Netherlands, and at the movies

• discovered embroidery was the nervous system regulation I didn’t know I needed

• and yes… became emotionally dependent on a cat named Nutmeg

Toby was my ❤️ dog, my best buddy and was by my side through the highs and lows of life. He was adored by people around the country and inspired a generation of border collies named Toby. He was a huge part of my identity, and everything changed when he crossed the Rainbow 💔

We don’t talk enough about pet loss; the grief can be overwhelming and the pain unbearable.

Unfortunately, many people who have not experienced the joy of having a close bond with a pet do not understand how difficult losing a pet can be. It can be a very lonely time, and we often grieve on our own because we don’t want people to know how upset we are 🥺😢

I can’t think of a better person to discuss this topic with than my dear friend @jessjrowe on her podcast The Jess Rowe Big Talk Show.
