These are my people.
Change and challenge is nothing new to this group. We have each endured new chapters, new beginnings, and new challenges that have put us thousands of miles apart from each other. Still, we always come back stronger than before, picking up right where we left off, with so much laughter and love.
This past weekend, we faced one of the worst changes yet. This past weekend, we had to say our goodbyes to cam.
I’ve been devastated, confused, and so angry, wondering why this happened.
I’m even more angry that no amount of writing I could ever do will truly capture the kind of person Cam was.
Cam was always the bright light I needed when I was in a dark room—and trust me, he has gotten me out of many dark rooms. He was always the joke at the wrong time when I needed a laugh the most. He was always a phone call away if anyone needed anything - anything at all, and he would drop whatever he was doing to be there. Cam was the guy you’d be slightly nervous to go out in public with because you knew he’d find some way to make you laugh and probably embarrass you in the process.

Cam was the guy who constantly put everyone else first, and I am so incredibly lucky I was one of those people. Cam was the guy who would do anything for you.
He loved his people deeply, and we love him just as deep.
He lived life and loved his family and friends so loudly and fiercely, but still remained so gentle- and that’s what I admire about him the most. He saw the good in everything, and I know he always tried to seize the day and appreciate all the little things life offered.
I only hope I can live life the way Cam did.
I am heartbroken, but honored to have these moments from the past 10 years I’ve known Cam—to look back on, to share with others, to make me laugh, and to make me cry.
We will miss you so much, Cam.
Rest in peace.
