10 Years of LVC ❤️

From where we began to where we are today, and all the places we’ll go, this video celebrates 10 years of the Lehigh Valley Chorale and honors our beloved founding artistic director, Ed Milisits.

Originally shown during our 2026 spring concert, The Road Home, this video features the voices of our wonderful LVC singers performing “Where the Light Begins.” 🎶

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped bring this video to life and to everyone who has been part of LVC’s journey over the past decade. Here’s to the next chapter! ❤️

We had such a wonderful time at our Winter Retreat this past weekend! 🎶 The day was filled with community building, connection, singing, and instruction from two incredible guest conductors.

Melanie Wade Cometa is the Director of Choral Activities at Ledyard High School, her alma mater, where she conducts over 150 students in nine choirs. Mrs. Cometa is the President of Connecticut ACDA and is a regular clinician and guest conductor for conferences and festivals throughout the Northeast.

Dr. Dustin S. Cates serves as Associate Professor of Choral Music Education at Boyer College of Music and Dance, part of the Center for Performing and Cinematic Arts at Temple University. Dr. Cates currently serves on the ACDA Eastern Region conference leadership team.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this special day, to the volunteers who helped make the retreat possible, and to our guest conductors for sharing their time, knowledge, and expertise with us.

We’re feeling inspired, energized, and ready for a wonderful winter season! 🎶✨ #lehighvalleychorale #lehighvalley #choralmusic

9 years ago, I taught the very first Meisner in Music class.

🗣️ I thought it would help singers with their acting.

I never could have expected what else it would do.

Since 2017, Meisner in Music has become a space where singers could - sure, become better actors - but also

get out of their heads,
sing with incredible freedom,
rely on their instincts instead of doubt them,
and trust inherently that ✨they are enough.✨

9 years later, I’m still blown away by what we’ve created together.

All of the singers whom we interviewed for this video were so different. But in what each of them said, I heard a common thread: 🪡

🔮 that something magical happens when you stop trying to “get it right” and start truly being where you are now.

I am so amazed at Meisner in Music’s growth, excited for its future, and grateful to be doing this work. 🎶

🪄 If you haven’t experienced Meisner in Music yet,
I invite you to come see what can happen in your own singing.

The Board was hard at work yesterday preparing for our upcoming 50th season! We can’t wait to welcome back all our singers (and welcome our fabulous new chorale members!) in just over two weeks. Until then, happy end of summer! ☀️

Thank you, @nyacda 🙏🏼 I really feel like @acda_east is a second home and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to present and share time with my choral comrades in Albany, NY.

In my session, “Repertoire that Resonates: Creating Concert Programs that Connect Singers and Audiences,” we reflected on our current practices, asked deep questions about our intentions, and exchanged ideas. I left feeling inspired, and I hope you did too 🤗

It’s been one year since I debuted my second solo show, Sensitive: The Art of Feeling Too Much.
While this show has come and gone, it fuels and inspires me and my art to this day, and continuously reminds me of the power that burns within me.

I am forever grateful to the artists I had the honor of collaborating with:

My band, The Teardrops: @nick.sienkiewicz, @julie_rozansky, @afdeyo, @simeonbrown19

MUA: @muaghannn / @ceghanmorbett

Show photographer: @photocredit.lindsey_kelly

Promo photographer: @meghan.marshall (above photos unedited)

Special guest: @carapalombo as The Therapist

Opening videography: @carlyanderson_angott

And an extra thanks to @loganrileybruner and @alyssa.meeuwsen for helping with technical and FOH business during the day of the show.

And of course, thanks to the music of these fierce pop artists: @arianagrande, @ladygaga, @dualipa, @taylorswift, @oliviarodrigo, @chappellroan, @billieeilish
