I wrote this song for the last #ukulelecabaret at the @the_lincoln_arms in London in November 2022.

I’m going to perform it with the band at @wiltonsmusichall on Wednesday 11 November. I want it to be a mass singalong with the audience.

Who wants to join the Sunshine Choir and come and sing this with us?

Huge thanks to all my friends-in-ukulele who sang and played on this collaborative recording. Isn’t it beautiful?

@melrobbins knows!

You don’t have to hold it all together every single day. You’re allowed to struggle, to need a minute, to ask for help, and to be more than just the person everyone depends on.
I wrote Quiet In The Hurricane for the mummas navigating their own storms, often in silence.
Because the mumma needs looking after, too. 🤍🌪️
If this feels like you, you’re not alone.

I think we need to talk about the hard bits just as much as the beautiful ones. Because sometimes, hearing another mumma say “me too” is exactly what you need.
I wrote Quiet In The Hurricane for those moments. For the mummas navigating the storms, finding their feet, and learning to find themselves again.
love that Natasha Heath @mamatashaheath is talking so openly with Liz Plank @feministabulous !!
You’re not alone in this. 🤍🌪️

I love how Mummas are speaking out about their storms. 🤍

@palomafaith and @davinamccall @beginagain it's so lovely to hear your truths out loud! The identity shifts. The overwhelm. The loneliness. The love so big it takes your breath away, and the feeling of losing little pieces of yourself along the way.

Maybe the more we share our storms, the less alone we all feel in them.
Here’s to the Mummas finding their voices, finding themselves, and remembering they’re allowed to take up space, too. 🌪️🤍

Sometimes the thing that tried to break you becomes the thing that brings you back to yourself.
Spotlight was never about revenge. It was about finding my voice again, taking my power back, and realising that nobody else gets to decide how brightly I shine.
Funny how the things that hurt us can end up becoming something beautiful.
Maybe the light was never theirs to take. ✨

Wooo. It took a while to land back on earth from these awesome gigs last Friday @thegreyspaceinthemiddle and Saturday @roodebioscoop . One was rambunctious and dreamlike, the other grounded and intimate. We made new friends, reconnected with old friends, and enjoyed playing alongside some awesome bands. We received our first live review - thank you @3voor12denhaag !! - which our hearts received with gratitude. We played with magnificent drummer @manfred.gstrein of hypnotic and rambunctious @polarizedmusic666, who invited us to play their release party. We fell in love with Den Haag and discovered the universe provided us with delicious food and free warm clothes when needed. We had so much fun.
Fierce, chuffed, connected, delighted. More please.

For the mumma who loves her life, but sometimes misses herself.
For the days when everything feels loud, everyone needs something, and you’re quietly trying to remember who you are underneath it all.
You’re allowed to want more than just getting through the day.
You’re still in there. 🤍

Because sometimes the chapter you thought was the end is actually the bit where everything changes.

I lost my voice for a while.
I lost myself a little too.

And somehow, through all of it, I wrote my way back.

Spotlight is that plot twist for me. 🖤

Out now.
