Hi 👋🏽 I’m Maui! Our hometown is Chicago! I love yelling at Daddy for food, yelling to go outside in the neighbors yard, and biting my sister Nimuè.

Ever get the chance to go n check out the crosswalk corner I painted in the west loop? I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while now, since my last one back in 2010. I was presented the opportunity by @westloopchamber to produce this during a street the Aberdeen street fest in this past summer. Although not the size I’m normally accustomed to, this was a great start to figuring out how to produce more permanent ground art. My goal is to do more of this as well as large scale public sculptures in the next year and into the future. Here’s to trying to reach to bigger things 🚀🚀🛸
Also big love for the helping hand @nickglazebrook @reseoner and @_jenndoesart_ you guys were a big part in making this thing happen 🙏🏽

Thank you all for the love on the WIP reel for my latest 4-story mural on Estelle’s bar @estelleschicago in Wicker Park, Chicago so far! Thrilled and grateful to debut these final images taken by my brother in spirit PJ Jones of the mural, titled “Asherah Bouquet.” There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony going down on site this Thursday, June 9th at 5pm. I’ll be there to say some words—lite bites and libations will be served for all. The event’s open to the Chicago public, so please come through to say hi and help celebrate the team!
.
ABOUT “Asherah Bouquet”
Asherah is the mother goddess of the Canaanite pantheon, but this mural depicts Chicago-native Sarah Ratissi @sarah_radicitus draped in flowers plucked from a realm between the city's natural ecosystem and the collective's half-forgotten dreams. When my friends and I were coming up in Chicago's creative scene, Estelle's was a favorite haunt in the old nightlife stomping grounds of Wicker Park. Ashera Bouquet marks the latest installment of an ongoing series in my mural practice where I depict women I admire as idols inspired by cross-cultural goddesses. This offering to both the local community and our precious memories now blooms a full four stories tall, welcoming revelers on train and foot with a friendly gaze and signature electric palette. Thank you so much to @wpbcc and @estelleschicago for the opportunity
.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST this piece would have been difficult to accomplish without the help of my team/family Nick Glazebrook @nickglazebrook and Javier Torres @reseoner 💥💥 Thank you for riding with me.

We are excited to have Czr Prz and Nick Glazebrook installing art in our Sanctuary Gallery this week! On view will be recent work from Prz, as well as examples from the duo’s collaborative series, “Sub-Americana,” which they exhibit under the name Ava Grey. “Sub-Americana” is a group of colorful, organic sculptures made from recycled objects that are used in America’s subcultures. Constructed from materials such as skateboard decks and spray paint cans, these impressive works will offer a teaser for the duo’s April 2021 exhibition. Check back for details on when you can view art in this beautiful space under strict COVID-Safe guidelines and protocols!

These painted canvases are going to be installed about 10' - 16' high, so you won't be able to see them quite this close up. ..
