Been shooting almost every day lately 📸

Between shooting, editing, making sure every client gets their photos on time, and managing everything in between, one thing somehow keeps getting pushed to the bottom of the list — posting the work! 😅

It was a season of debuts, with both @nickhogann and @m__burke competing for the first time as well as myself coaching athletes for the first time.

Overall I couldn’t be happier with what we were able to achieve. Both boys brought exceptional first time packages to stage relative to their starting points and they progressed in every meaningful bodybuilding metric.

Now that I’ve had a chance to chill for a bit after a very busy few weeks, I’m more motivated than ever before in both my personal bodybuilding and coaching endeavours.

I don’t care whether the individual wants to step on stage or not, I’m heavily invested and helping anyone and everyone achieve a level they never thought possible.

This is only the beginning.

Getting to make this batch for Nick after watching him work towards this comp felt pretty special. It’s one of my favourite things about Sunday’s Dough: sometimes it’s not just dessert, it gets to be part of the moment.

After being in the game for quite a while now I realise that regardless of the amount of tissue you put on, your structure and genetics, there is a huge amount to gain from pursuing constant progression.

Even if you don’t always achieve it, you learn something.

I owe a lot to bodybuilding. I’m not even referring to the actual stepping on stage bit. Just the lifestyle in general.

Pursuing growth in that arena may seem vein from the outside, and in many ways it is. But without it, I would be a fair bit worse off.

When you jump on a bodybuilding stage you have a chance to showcase what is an accumulation of countless little decisions you make over years.

Hundreds, even thousands of intense sessions, early bed times, meals had, sacrifices made. All for a couple minutes in a g banger under lights in front of your closest family and friends.

Most people see the end product but as a coach, you get to see so many of these little decisions that an athlete makes.

I’ve been up on stage before but this was the first chance to be sat in the coaches seat. Honestly I couldn’t be prouder of these two men @nickhogann @m__burke

Not only do they have genuinely elite mindsets, never missing a single beat, but their level of effort has been genuinely inspiring.

I feel incredibly honoured to be working alongside these two for my first season as a coach.

We will be showing up even better in 2 weeks time.
