A little love letter to curls. ❤️

One of my favorite things about working with curly hair is that no two heads of hair are ever the same. Every curl pattern, texture, density, and routine requires a different approach, and that’s exactly what makes it so fun.

Whether we’re creating shape, bringing life back to tired curls, growing out a previous cut, or figuring out a routine that actually works for your lifestyle, the goal is always the same: helping your curls feel more like your curls!!

Here’s a look at some recent curly transformations from behind the chair. Swipe through for soft layers, big shape changes, healthy curl revivals, and a few reminders that curls don’t have to be “managed” to be beautiful.

Thinking about booking your first curly haircut? Come as you are. You don’t need perfect curls, a complicated routine, or the right words to describe what you want. We’ll figure it out together. ✨

Model 2 from Day 1 of Curls Unlocked Uni: Mastering Technical Texture in Chicago today!

This class builds off of Curls Unlocked 101 in a way that shows duality and translation with utilizing precision hair cutting for all texture and scenarios. Our model needed refinement, weight adjustment and something that felt low maintenance day to day yet fashionable. Balancing the masculine strength in his bone structure with fluid flare to match his personality.

Together in class we consulted and broke down this cut step by step all the way to the styling. He was cut wet to dry and finished with @gmreverie hymn gel and @davinesofficial curl moisture mousse.

New York… I’ll always love you and consider you my home. I can’t believe it’s been 8 years. Moving here alone with no friends or family at 19 was scary as hell, but this city taught me I can accomplish anything I set my mind to. All my dreams came true here and more…and not to be dramatic but..when House of DVF aired 2014-2015 I remember thinking “one day I’m going to work there”, and about three years later I did. I remember seeing Jess work at Steve Madden in 2016 and thinking “I’m going to work there one day”, and I did. I was always interested in styling/stylists since watching Rachel Zoe on Bravo as a kid, and within my first few months of living in NYC I was at Alicia Keys’ house helping her stylist get her dressed for the 2018 Grammys. 1 year later I was helping a stylist for The Met Gala. When I expressed to people close to me what I was really passionate about, it got me on a billboard in Times Square? I’ll never get over the life I created here.

It’s rare to move out of NYC without a broken heart, but I’ve loved preserving my love and sharing it with my friends. No one’s laid a finger on my heart these past 8 years, and how lucky am I keep exploring this world with my heart so full, not a single broken piece left behind? To have lived and loved in a city that loved me back so much. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I’m so proud of me and the woman I became here.

Thank you to my parents & brothers for making my dream of living in NYC come true ❣️ I can’t wait to see what my future in LA looks like 🌞
