A little jewelry for the walls. A pair of our Pietra Santa Sconces bring together the natural beauty of agate with sculptural brass detailing, adding warmth, color, and a touch of drama to this New York residence designed by @dunnamzerbini. ✨💫

Rich wood tones, layered patterns, and collected antiques give this 1910 Michigan bungalow such a cozy feel. From the deep blue upholstery to the warm wood paneling and charming vintage details, every room feels inviting, full of character, and made to be enjoyed.

Trading minimalism for pattern, personality, and a little creative excess, these bedrooms embrace maximalism in the most stylish of ways.

Fall is entering the chat 🍂 A season of cozy layers, warm textures, rich colors, and spaces that invite you to slow down and settle in.

There’s something about autumn that makes home feel just a little more special.

When I first started designing homes, I bought an old house in Detroit’s Indian Village. It was a chance to trust my instincts, tell a story through a space, and see what I could create on my own terms.

I decided to submit just one photograph to a design competition. One image. One little leap of faith. It won.

I remember thinking, Okay, I can really do this.

That win was the last thing i submitted for an award. It wasn’t necessarily about winning. It was about realizing that the eye I had spent years developing, the layers I loved, and the stories I wanted to tell could become something entirely my own….i don’t need anyone to verify what I know I have in my mind.

That house was the beginning of a new chapter. And looking back, I think a little part of me knew exactly where I was headed.

Sometimes you just have to trust your eye.

We’re so proud to have contributed the rug in Erik Gensler’s (@ezg.designs) ‘After Dark Aerie’ at this year’s Kips Bay Showhouse (@kbshowhouse)

Absolutely an instant favorite: a 1920s Art Deco rug hand-knotted in wool, made in China in the French Deco spirit. Gold with a bold medallion in red and midnight blue, and at nearly 10 x 18 feet it’s one of the rare oversized pieces of its kind. The perfect anchor for Erik’s moody, transporting 1970s lounge. Thank you, Erik, for including us.

On view through October 13 at 80 West Washington Place.

A dining room that understands the power of contrast.

Against a high-gloss black backdrop, graphic upholstered chairs bring movement and personality to an otherwise restrained palette. Polished metal frames introduce a subtle reflective quality, while the sculptural dining table and pale wood floors soften the composition and keep the room from feeling overly formal.

The arched mirror adds another layer, extending the space visually and repeating the dining room’s symmetry through a series of reflections.

It’s a bold approach to modern interior design, but one grounded in balance; pattern against solid, light against dark, and statement pieces surrounded by just enough restraint to let them hold the room.

What might otherwise be a transitional space becomes one of the home’s most distinctive architectural moments.

In this SG-designed hallway, a rhythmic wall of sculpted wood introduces warmth and dimension. A floating console and artful mirror break up the linearity, and a softly curved opening carries the same sense of movement into the next room.

The result is a study in how custom millwork, material, and proportion can transform even the most utilitarian areas of a home. Rather than treating the hallway as an afterthought, the design gives it its own identity, one that feels considered, collected, and connected to the architecture around it.

After Dark Aerie
Inspired by the 1970s magazine, Erik Gensler of @ezg.designs transformed a raw Greenwich Village terrace at the 2026 @kbshowhouse into a moody, tented salon where good music plays, cocktails are sipped, and friends gather late into the night. Our Connie 12" Cordless Accent Lamp by Chapman & Myers casts a soft, ambient glow across the sultry retreat, layered with rich textures, bold patterns, and a considered mix of vintage and contemporary pieces.

A bathroom designed to make a statement without saying TOO much.

Natural stone takes center stage in this space, balanced by warm wood, sculptural details, and an abundance of natural light. From the dramatic veining carried across the floors and walls to the floating vanities, freestanding tub, and glass-enclosed shower, every element was considered to create a space that feels both bold and serene.

A study in contrast, texture, and timeless design; all brought together in one beautifully considered space.

An ode to time-honored ornament. In @jamesthomasinteriors’ bedroom for this year’s @themartshowrooms Showhouse, a curated selection of trimmings bring definition to a richly collected palette of olive, cream, and copper.

A statement-making leather ottoman is circled by the Dorian Velvet Border in Copper, layered above two cascading rows of Barcelona Ombré Fringe in Bronze.

At the window, Aria Silk Brush Fringe in Walnut traces the Roman shade’s sculptural pelmet, crowned with the same Dorian Velvet Border. The Roman shade itself is underscored by a row of French Grosgrain Ribbon in Topaz.

That same ribbon continues onto the bed curtains, outlining cream Ancient Egypt-inspired fabric with graphic contrast.

Inside, Normandy Silk Rosettes in Cocoa punctuate either end of a generous bolster pillow.
