Calibro 35 | Ellroy vs L.A. (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) (2026 - Record Kicks).

𝗥𝗞 𝗘𝗫𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗦𝗜𝗩𝗘, 𝗟𝗜𝗠𝗜𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 (𝟲𝟬𝟬 𝗖𝗢𝗣𝗜𝗘𝗦).
𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗕𝗟𝗨𝗘 𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗬𝗟.

2003-2010 Documenting the new soul & funk scene.

The SoulShaker compilation series was among the very first Record Kicks releases. Vol. 1 landed back in 2003 with one simple mission, to capture the sound of the reborn international funk & soul scene.

Between 2003 and 2010 we released 7 volumes, featuring some of the finest names from that new generation of soul & funk artists: Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, The Bamboos. Quantic Soul Orchestra, The Budos Band, Breakestra, Tuomo, Baby Charles, The Sweet Vandals, Alice Russell, Lee Fields, Speedometer, Dojo Cuts, The New Mastersounds, Eli “Paperboy” Reed and many many more all coming from independent record labels.

All the LPs have been sold out for years and have never been repressed. So if you spot one in the wild… you know what to do. 👀 Dig deep. Love Soul ❤️

Songs 🎶
The Bamboos feat Alice Russell – Trascend Me
Tuomo – Don’t Take It Too Hard
Sharon Jones & The Dap-kings – Keep On Looking (Kenny Dope rmx)

*Meet the guests*
@nickrecordkicks
Ho iniziato a collezionare dischi negli anni 90. The Affirmations, Calibro 35, Baby Charles, Trio Valore, The Bluebeaters, Tanika Charles, Martha High & The Osaka Monaurail, Baker Brothers, Alexis Evans, Nick Pride & The Pimptones, Diplomats Of Solid Sound..

5 evergreen per me

Inell Young – What do You See in Her (Libra)
Sandra Wright – Midnight Affair (Truth)
Sonny Til – I Gave It All Up (Clown)
Flame N King – Oh Happy Day (NYCS)

Buon ascolto
