This is what career access looks like! 💼✨ Our College Match students and alumni recently spent the day at Deloitte for a Career Launch event focused on career development, exposure, and real-world insight. From learning how teams collaborate to understanding what it takes to thrive in professional spaces, this experience brought career conversations to life. The workshop shared practical tools students can use right now, alongside a behind-the-scenes look at Deloitte’s culture and pathways. Being in the space, asking questions, and connecting with professionals helped make future careers feel tangible and within reach. A huge thank you to College Match alum and Alumni Board member Nicole Bolaños for helping make this experience possible, along with presenter Donte Apperwhite and the Deloitte team for sharing their time, expertise, and commitment to early career talent. More Career Launch workshops are coming soon, and we’re excited to keep creating opportunities like this 💼🎓 #CollegeMatch

#SundayThoughts "Moment of Reflection on this Sunday morning because earlier this month I got to spend the day with College Match and their students from LA on their annual trip across the country with 150+ students to visit colleges & universities on the East Coast! For many of these students, it is one of many firsts: their first time visiting the East Coast, first time being on an airplane, and first time being away from home for an extended period of time. I was once one of these students. 🎓👩🏽‍🎓 Now, as a young professional living in New England, not only was it interesting to be on the other side of things, but it was an absolute JOYYY to talk to and answer students’ questions, reconnect with my former high school counselors, and even see the same bus driver that drove us around Boston when I was on that same exact trip back in 2016! Spending time with all of them that day brought me back to own experiences as that young girl in high school learning about the Ivy Leagues for the first time, and to the people who have helped me along the way. I am always so grateful to everyone who played a part in getting me to where I am today — a Latina consultant living in Boston — from my university professors who taught me so much to Paul, the College Match bus driver who drove us around New England in 2016 to learn about what college even meant during that trip seven years ago. There is still so much work to be done in creating spaces that uplift and support first gens in higher education, but it brought me so much joy to see that the confidence of students in this generation and the resources available to them are growing with every passing year!" Maria Nicole Bolaños Brown University '21 Alliance Dr. Olga Mohan High School '17 Swipe 👉🏽 to see photos of Nicole from her East Coast Trip back in 2016 and keep swiping 👉🏽👉🏽 to see Nicole sharing advice with our current CMLA students from two weeks ago! 📸✈️ #CollegeMatchLA #EastCoastTrip2023 #InThisTogether
