Day 1 • Photo London @photolondonfair • Wednesday, May 13th • Preview Day for VIP Press, Curators, Gallerists, Collectors, and Industry people from all over the world.
.
It was so much fun spending time meeting new people and taking about my new work and seeing all of the other Galleries here and what their booths looked like now that all of the work was up.
.
And making new friends and spending time reunited with my talented friends also exhibiting at the fair.

My slow, nourishing Friday in Paris.
.
I stayed in all morning. Decaf espresso.
Self portraits. I have an ongoing series of my legs in bed like this one as I travel. Paris, Milan, Mallorca, London, Los Angeles…
Love the second photo here of my reflection in the glass. Spent time just noticing how the light was wrapping itself around my morning and listening to Paris.

Lunch with my dear friend @nicolaslaborie at one of my favorite places @lefumoirparis I love this photo of us. And I know you’re going to ask so I’ll just tell you here….no… it’s not a romantic kind of friendship. It’s a deep respect and love.
.
I finally loaded the @leicacamerausa Leica M3 film camera… I got a little (big) nudge from @carlfehres to get going! I’ve been waiting to use it until after the exhibition and @parisphotofair so I can really focus. The days tend to be packed except for a little time this morning. I hope I loaded it correctly. Took a few photos with it but it was right when day was turning to night. Saving the film for better natural light tomorrow.

Jamie and @fullonrad @dotansaguy @kernphoto @bethanyedenfilm @ewamonikazebrowski and Jim Elzinga had a pop-up exhibition on a boat on the river Seine. It was so clever and cool.
.
Grateful to see and connect with so many people there including @michaelgrecco for 2.5 seconds… I left early. I’ve been dealing with Lupus symptoms a bit more this trip. And so… I rest. Tomorrow is a faster paced day. @parisphotofair in the morning. A photo session in the afternoon in my apartment, the @altavistaarts closing party in the evening! You’re invited! 8 rue Chapon. 75003, 6-9pm. Hope to see you there! And did you see the new book I just released out into the world? There’s a link in my bio. Only 37 left. It’s a collection of images from the body of work that I’m showing in Paris.

Somehow it’s almost 1am here and my plan for an early night didn’t (and never) happen(s). I didn’t want to go to sleep without talking with you all first and marking today with a post to remember it by. Bisous. xo

In between @jessiechaneyphoto’s solo show and the group show with @ericakellymartin @fullonrad @glenwexlerstudio @zoewiseman @richardschow and myself (both with @fabrikprojectsgallery) was a beautiful spiral staircase and this glorious window that looked out onto @somersethouse, the stunning location of Photo London.
.
I loved this window and took photos of it daily. @nicolaslaborie lent me his Polaroid camera @polaroid during the weekend because he knew mine broke just before I left Los Angeles for this exhibition… and I’m so glad I was able to capture this glorious light and some of the beautiful humans I spent time with in London.

(The photo with the microphone in my hand… a tour was coming through and I was handed the mic after @nicolaslaborie told them that I had a pop-up gallerie space in that window seat… being the sarcastic fella that he is. I then was told to talk about my work and so I did. That was a fun little moment)

Mom is a few days late in posting our adventures! She says sorry and hopes to catch up to be in real time soon. Sunday we went to @photolondonfair with @nicolaslaborie . Mom is always looking out for new dog art. She fell in love with this 1944 Brassaï print of Picasso’s Afghan Hound 🐕 lying in his Paris studio. It was only £10,000 so no we didn’t get it. Some other amazing dog art prints we saw. And of course saw the only Diamond dog (David Bowie), print by Brian Duffy. Lots to see there as always and we look forward to going again next year!

I’m thrilled to announce that “The Fallen Echoes of Existence 1999-2024” has been longlisted for the prestigious Aesthetica Art Prize 2025 @aestheticamag

Faces Unclaimed, fallen echoes of existence ( 1999-2024), is rooted in a collection that has been growing for years- accidental passport photos found in streets,
tube stations, and parks since 1999. As I gathered these unclaimed portraits, I often looked into their eyes and sensed the fragile nature of identity—how
easily it can be lost, discarded, scattered, or forgotten.
The Aesthetica AFt Prize, ‘established in 2007, is a significant platform in the contemporary art world for painting, photography, film, installation, digital, and mixed media. It has showcased thousands of artists, putting their work in front of curators and gallerists from across the world, including those from Tate Modern, Barbican, Guggenheim, Brooklyn Museum, British Journal of Photography, Creative Review, YSP, Frieze, London Art Fair and more.

I look forward to having The Fallen Echoes of Existence 1999-2024” featured in the digital showcase at York Art Gallery (UK) - The exhibition opens September 2025.

I’m back in Laurel Canyon and have been up since 3am. Still on Paris time. I have to get out of my house and go walk at least 11,000 - 15,000 steps today to feel normal now after that becoming my daily life in Paris and falling in love with that lifestyle. (even more than before which I didn’t know was possible) I’m texting with @rohinaphoto right now about how to meet at a French restaurant close by and walk there which is literally impossible… but I want to.
.
Fun fact. Did you know that in France if the croissant is straight it was made with butter and if it’s curved it was made with margarine?! Thank you @ryandebonville for that info. I had no idea.
