Summer vacation with the fam and all of Philly and Jersey (apparently). The Outer Banks was INTERESTING for sure. It was moist, burny, lovely, chunky, and special!

Great friends and general good smells for once.

Sometimes you gotta get ballistic.

There are many ways to train the body. I’ve been re-interested in ballistics after talking to one of my colleagues, Nick, at Invictus. That’s one of the many beautiful things about working at a place with a bunch of very bright minds. You glean so much off of your coworkers.

The band (minus @eddy_mightymouse619 ) got back together for a sweaty open mat where it all stared @barumjiujitsu . Thanks to @alfredobarum for holding the space for the BJJ community 🙏

Hello July — and welcome Yams! 🧡
We’re kicking off the month with one mighty new camper: Yamela, aka Yams! She’s 1.5 years old, came all the way from Utah, and is here to work on her reactivity, help regulate her nervous system and grow her calm confidence.

We’re so thrilled for July—not just because of our newest addition, but because the rest of our crew has committed to continuing their journey with us. We love watching this pack grow together, support each other, and step into their best selves.

We can’t wait to see what this amazing group accomplishes this month!

Four years ago I honestly was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up with my sisters on our first #camino if I didn’t get my pain under control.

I’d struggled with knee, hip and back pain from 10 years of teaching aerobics, dancing and running without proper recovery.

So I walked into a running store and asked the owner, “Who’s fixing all the athletes in San Diego?”
Little did I know that one question would change my life and be an answer to years of prayers.

They sent me to @colindiment and @nicvictus. Together they unlocked years of pain and got me feeling better than ever. One of the many things they had me work on was walking backwards. #walkingbackwards has saved me on so many of our steep descents. I can quite confidently traverse pretty rough terrain as passersby trekkers give me weird looks! 😁

The second day on the trail graced us with one of our favorite lunches and most cozy sleeping accommodations at Rifugio Lavarella.

To say I’m excited about this is an understatement!!

Coming soon….meet our new team member Nicholas Hawkes!

Nick is the perfect complement to what we already have here at Summit, and will continue to foster our efforts to help each, and every patient be empowered recover and perform!

A couple of quotes from his bio below, full list of certifications, etc., on the website.

“From the Navy to the mat, from the gym floor to the treatment room, my life has been driven by one mission: to help people move better, feel better, and perform at their best inside and outside the gym.

I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and later called San Diego, California home. Along the way, I served in the United States Navy, an experience that taught me the value of discipline, service, and adaptability. These are traits that continues to shape my work today.

I have spent over two decades, immersed in performance coaching and manual therapy. My learning has included a variety of training to help each individual reach their goals. Some of the certifications I hold: CrossFit level 4 Coach, VM Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt. Certifications from ART, FRC, Fascial Manipulation, PRI , ELDOA etc etc.

If you’re looking for guidance that blends science, experience, and heart, I would be honored to work with you. ……Nick“
