✨ FLASHBACK FRIDAY | Wellness in Motion ✨

July was more than a month, it was a movement.

Together, 78 community members chose to pause, breathe, stretch, and prioritize themselves through four diffrent yoga offering with The T.R.U.T.H. Project. Every mat rolled out was a declaration that our wellbeing matters.

This milestone was made possible through the care, wisdom, and intention of our incredible guides: Exander, Sha'na, Devin, Alex, Leticia, and Winter Love. Thank you for creating spaces where healing, joy, and belonging could flourish.

We're also celebrating the beauty of collaboration. Heartfelt gratitude to the @lululemon for supporting our wellness offering through the Community Wellbeing Grant and investing in our vision of accessible, and to our newest partner, @kinwellnesshtx , for opening your doors as we continue expanding restorative spaces throughout Houston. And lastly, our partners over at @heavyhitterspride for supporting wellness within the community for urban men of size and their admirers.

While we proudly honored BIPOC Mental Health Month, our commitment doesn't end with a calendar. At The T.R.U.T.H. Project, we believe in Wellness 365...because healing is not a season; it's a lifelong practice rooted in collective care.

And to every person who showed up, invited a friend, or trusted us to be part of your wellness journey, thank you. It is an honor to walk alongside you as we continue centering wellness, cultural arts, and all things self-care. Your trust allows us to keep building spaces where our community can rest, heal, connect, and flourish.

Here's to more moments of restoration, more intentional breaths, and more opportunities to choose ourselves, together. 💚

Sit with me for a long moment while I process my emotions out loud. I often use music to conjure whatever emotions are coming up & although I am an x christian, today it was the spirit of my father, so I put on his playlist & painted through it.

Sometimes you create the art, and sometimes it creates you. 🫶🏼

“Liberation in bloom: a soft reset” was based upon the black family & community experience in the home & immediately outside of it. It was meticulously curated & executed with precision. 👌🏽ALL of the art was created by #queer artists & dope AF!
So grateful to be apart of this art show.

***Liberation in Bloom: A Soft Reset became a homecoming***

It felt like family gathered around the table. It sounded like laughter echoing through the room, stories shared across generations, and friendly competition at the spades table. It looked like aluminum foil wrapped around to go plates because no one leaves family hungry. It felt like hugs that lingered, conversations that mattered, and a room overflowing with love, joy, and belonging.

Our deepest gratitude to every artist, volunteer, collaborator, and community member who made this opening reception so special. You helped transform The DeLUXE Theater into a space where healing, creativity, and connection could bloom together.

If you missed opening night, there's still time to experience this incredible exhibition.
