POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Friday’s import department has received one Celadon from Stockholm. Local stock remains plentiful.

Celadon arrives from across the Baltic with a bag worth poking around in, while Nazar head Basit Soomro supplies the psychedelic sturdy goods from home. Nikita DJ deals in affirmative sound somewhere around 90s prog, 2000s tech and its modern relatives, while Ar2u & Reko have opted for the buddy system and take care of the evening’s b2b activities.

Imported, domestic, individual and paired. Full assortment available this Friday.

Fri: Post Bar — Celadon 🇸🇪, Basit Soomro, Nikita DJ, Ar2u b2b Reko

September is upon us and apparently it has plans.

Sansibar reopens the Sin Sistema department for another night of groove-related research, while Stockholm’s Anthony Linell heads down to the bar to take care of Post Bar Club Night. Later in the month, Changeless turns 7 years old, which in club years must be at least 46. Congratulations!

In between: local treats, familiar faces, live affairs, all night longs and other extracurricular activities best studied directly from the programme above.

See you at the Bar.

SAT 1/8 – Katerina & Lil Tony + DJ HLB, Nikita DJ, HiToshi, Snamu

On the 1st of August, that is this Saturday, Kaiku offers you a gargantuan display of local mastery. Room one is an all-night back-to-back between Lil Tony and Katerina. Both have been central in shaping the sound of Kaiku throughout the club’s existence, so what you are receiving is an immersion into the pure, distilled essence of Kaiku. It’ll be deep, heady, energetic, mysterious and inviting, filled with unknown pleasures and throbbing pulses, much like the darkening summer nights we are now enjoying.

If room one can be seen as a testament to the experience and craft that has created the sonic backbone of Kaiku, then room two presents the newer generation that has emerged in recent years to continue the tradition as well as reinvent it. Leading the charge in room two are DJ HLB, Nikita DJ, HiToshi, and Snamu. Tens across the board, as the saying goes. See you on the dancefloor.

Limited amount of advance tickets 12 € via Eventual. Tickets from the door 16 €. Free entrance before 23:00. Welcome!

SAT 11/4 – SUBSEQUENCE: Luca Lozano (UK)

On Saturday, it’s the premiere of the SUBSEQUENCE club nights in Kaiku, helmed by the 00 Collective, an incremental creative force in the Helsinki underground electronic music scene. For this inaugural night they’ve invited the UK rave specialist and co-founder of the influential Klasse Wrecks label, Luca Lozano.

A heady presence on the international club circuit for the past fifteen years, Luca’s discography and DJ’ing bring together rolling and tech-y house, euphoric techno, body-convulsing acid, and a ton of fun. A love letter to the genre that is synapse-frying raving. Steering the ship before him in room one are like-minded local legends Carlina Carpelan, Nikita DJ & DJ Aleksi. In room two, three back-to-back to explorations of the various facets of the UK club sonic history by Catalina & Alessia, ar2u & Reko, and Sala & itseasias.

Limited amount of advance tickets 12 € via Eventual. Tickets from the door 16 €. Free entrance before 23:00. Welcome!

Local offenders are as vital to the first SUBSEQUENCE case as the prime suspect. Here is the full list of those making noise in and out of scenes, deep rooted and newly engaged.

Carlina Carpelan kicks off the night in Room One with the percussive sound crafted for years and celebrated by many; picked up by the resident Nikita DJ and DJ Aleksi getting on the long-overdue b2b in euphoric tones. Lozano’s closing is both history and mystery and not to be missed.

In Room Two, the newly arrived Catalina teams up with Alessia for a shared celebration of the UK sound. Event’s visualiser ar2u invites Reko to continue on the shady techy bizness started on a dark NYE night, whilst Sala’s and itseasias’ bass offence is as anticipated as it’s hard to speculate upon.

Best witnessed live, the night of 11.04, Saturday. Limited amount of presale tickets in bio.
