What could possibly go wrong? It's not like LGBTQ+ people have been under surveillance before and everything turned out OK.

The Flock camera photos were provided by Nik Roybal.

The City Council voted 3-2 to install a network of cameras that photographs and logs the license plate of every vehicle entering and leaving the city. What’s missing is the conversation whether workers and patrons want this.

🏳️‍🌈As Pride Month comes to a close, we're reflecting on a season filled with love, hope, visibility, and community.

We're honored to share this beautiful highlights video, created by our own Sara Hanson, capturing the spirit of the Steps to Liberation—the moment, the movement, and the unforgettable Pride celebrations that brought our community together. The Rainbow Steps are more than a landmark; they are a lasting symbol of faith, inclusion, and radical welcome in the heart of Los Angeles.

A special thank you to Pastor Bam Noriega and John Boswell of OurPride.org, and everyone who helped bring this vision to life. To every volunteer, performer, artist, photographer, organizer, and participant throughout Pride Month—thank you. Together, we showed Los Angeles and beyond a simple but powerful truth: God loves us all.

If you haven't visited yet, we invite you to experience the Steps to Liberation at Founders MCC / ICM Fundadora—a place where history, faith, art, and community meet, and where everyone belongs.
