Something that seems endless but will one day run out. When you choose your people, make sure your energy is going into the ones that help you breathe life, not drain you.

What an incredible experience. I mean this whole heartedly, the people I meet made the experience. This one goes out to all the friends I made and the people that made this course possible.

I have leant to climb the ladder
To Take small bites out of the cookie
To know your limits and discover new ones
To know when it’s time, not to give up
But to choose a path that will get you home

I have leant to take one challenge at a time
That far away, things can seem impossible
But once in view, a path may yet reveal itself
That leaning on a friend it not a weakness
But a strength that you have earnt in trust

I have learnt that something so pure,
Can bring you to tears, stood atop a peak
A memory, that will be scratched into your being
A feeling, felt by one other that stood by you
A touch, given later that brings it all back to life

I have learnt to move with purpose, as mistakes are not always in option, but to trust in what you know. As you are more capable than you can imagine.

Not a highlight reel!!

A big day is an understatement, here’s our journey up and along mt. Rundle, after peak 10 we moved down into the valley and the vlogs slowed down due to concentration and fatigue. Nils videoing the final push along the river between Rundle and Sulfur towards Banff and the Fairmont. Never have I been so depleted, emotional and happy to see my best friend @maguire_brice when he picked us up from Cascade falls at around MIDNIGHT.

We tackled snow, rocky scree, questionable scrambles, small 5th class pitches of trad, improvised anchors, repels (one of which we had to make an anchor due to snow on steep down climb), insane ridge walks, huge exposure, fatigue, cold, route finding, and navigation though a canyon in the dark on decent.

Niel’s Garmin helped capture some states from the day, I know for a fact I’m skinnier than I was at the start (Almost 8,000 calories burnt will have recovery taking a while)

A walk from Canmore to Banff, an early start that should have been earlier. A day full of challenge upon challenge, we made it out safe and sound, with more story’s to tell then I can count with all my digits. 10/11 peaks bagged and almost 19 hours on the moving. An intense and adventurous decent into amazing terrain guided by moonlight and patience for a warm bed. Was an amazing way to put skills iv learnt here in the Rockies into practise and smash out one of the most amazingly enduring days in the mountains. Couldn’t have done this without you @nils.k_o . We did, in fact, make Rundle our b#%h!!

“I have a message for my fans. Whatever you want to do in this world, it is achievable. The most important thing that I’ve found, that perhaps you could use, is be passionate and enthusiastic in the direction that you choose in life, and you’ll be a winner.”
