“For me, stepping out of my comfort zone means doing things that attract me just as much as they terrify me. I’ve never regretted taking that leap. It has always allowed me to learn new things, build confidence through experience, and feel proud of myself afterward.”

MHW Climb Athlete @ninaarthaud understands that feeling uncertain is part of the journey to going beyond the boundaries, evolving, and growing. This is how she stretches her comfort zone.

Last weekend, four of our climb athletes (@_calebrobinsonn @walkergenevive @kyra_condie @ninaarthaud) hosted clinics at @joesvalley Fest, a nonprofit festival that brings together the climbing community to support climbing access, stewardship, youth programs, and outdoor education.

“Joe's Fest 2026 was a blast! This year my clinic focused on projecting tactics. I was really lucky to have a small group where I could chat one on one with participants and help them sharpen their toolkit,” says Caleb.

“I left feeling really grateful—for the people I got to meet, the friends I got to spend time with, and a climbing community that knows how to work hard, play hard, and not take itself too seriously,” says Genevive.

Until next year 👊

The need to stretch and reach is foundational for climbers.

This is true for MHW Athletes @noahwheels and @ninaarthaud, who look for layers that allow freedom of movement. Enter the StretchDown™ Light Hooded Jacket.

“It's incredibly light and breathable, so I throw it in my pack pretty much every climb day. It’s malleable enough to not impede my movement, while insulated enough to keep me warm until I’m ready for a serious try,” says Noah.

“It’s warm enough to keep me comfortable while still being light and stretchy enough to allow for all the movements I need in my climbing.” says Nina.

StretchDown™ is flexible warmth. Find yours and find new ways to stretch your comfort zone.
