Omg, słuchajcie!

To dopiero 3 dzień #tourdefleece2026 i już jest moim ulubionym 🫶

W komentarzu pod wczorajszą rolką Christine @nishiknits otworzyła przede mną całą bibliotekę nie tylko żółwików do nawijania na wrzecionach tureckich, ale też porad i ciekawostek 😍

Do tego poznałam kolejnego twórcę wrzecion 🫶

Strona Jenkins spindles to prawdziwa kopalnia wiedzy, jestem absolutnie zachwycona 😍

Zmieniłam więc zamysł na mojego żółwika i - jako, że nawet nie musiałam go za bardzo rozbierać - na pierwssą warstwę „2 wierzchem, 1 spodem” zaczęłam nawijać koszykowego żółwika zaprezentowanego na tej stronie 😍

Jestem pewna, że zapewnia zwiększenie pojemności wrzeciona i najpiękniej będzie się prezentować na jakiejś przędzy z przejściami kolorystycznymi.

Tyle nowej zabawy przede mną 🥰 już nie mogę się doczekać 😉

A Wy znaliście tego twórcę? Jak bardzo jestem spóźniona na tą imprezę? 🫣

OMG, You Guys!

It’s only Day 3 of TourDeFleece2026, and it’s already becoming my favorite 🫶

In the comments under yesterday’s reel, Christine (@nishiknits) opened up a whole new world for me—not just different ways to wind turtles on Turkish spindles, but also a treasure trove of tips and fascinating information. 😍

I also discovered another spindle maker. 🫶

The Jenkins Spindles website is an absolute goldmine of knowledge, and I’m completely amazed by everything I’ve found there. 😍

So I changed my plan for this turtle. Since I barely had to unwind it, I kept my first layer in a simple “2 over, 1 under” pattern and started winding a basket-weave turtle inspired by the tutorial on their website. 😍

I’m convinced it increases the spindle’s capacity, and I think it’ll look absolutely gorgeous with a handspun featuring long color gradients.

So many new things to try—I can’t wait! 🥰

Dziś przeprowadzam Was przez 3 poziomy trudności rozpoczęcia przędzenia na wrzecionie tureckim 👩‍🏫

1️⃣ Od najprostszego z wykorzystaniem gotowej nici jako leadera,
2️⃣ przez podpowiedziany mi jako alternatywny do mojego przez @spinningmoments_momentosafiar i @nishiknits,
3️⃣ po mój ulubiony (bo z lekką makareną 💃🏽) podpatrzony najprawdopodobniej u pierwszej prządki, jaką kiedykolwiek obserwowałam, czyli @sitsnspins ❤️

Nawijamy pierwszą warstwę żółwika 🐢 wykorzystując metodę „2 wierzchem, 1 spodem” i idziemy się napić soczku dla zwycięzców 🧃🏆

Znacie więcej sposobów rozpoczęcia przędzenia na wrzecionie tureckim? 🧐

tourdefleece2026 is officially underway! 🚀

Today I’m walking you through 3 different ways to start spinning on a Turkish spindle 👩‍🏫

1️⃣ The easiest method, using a prepared leader thread.
2️⃣ An alternative approach that was suggested to me by @spinningmoments_momentosafiar and @nishiknits.
3️⃣ My personal favourite (because it comes with a little spinning “macarena” 💃🏽), which I most likely picked up from the very first spinner I ever followed: @sitsnspins ❤️

Then we wind the first layer of our little spindle “turtle” 🐢 using the “2 over, 1 under” method, and it’s time for a well-earned victory juice! 🧃🏆

Sweden’s Sheep & Wool Festival 🇸🇪

This goes down in the books as a proper adventure with fibre friends.

Friday morning (yesterday) at 5.30 in the morning Jovita and I set off, noses pointing westwards in order to reach Kil in Värmland by latest 10.00.

At 11.00 the medals were going to be awarded for the different categories of fleeces and then after that auction of the goldmedal winners 🥇

Doors opened at 10.00 - had we not been sure we were in the right location, the smell would have guided us 😅

Time to look at fleece and hug all the friends - also all the ones you know, but never met before 🥰

In these moments I get a stark reminder of how crazy it is to be a person that truly recharges in social settings, who loves meeting people and talking, hugging recognising all the faces - pretty good at remembering names…

… yet at the same time dealing with a chronic illness that makes all of this extremely difficult #mecfs 🪫

I really loved all the hugs, smiles, sweet words and kind gestures -

It was nice to feel accepted for what I can and can’t manage ♥️

We made it safely back home by nightfall - Jovita is a rock 🫶

Well in the Oldern Days it was the day when spinning started up again after Christmas celebrations, now you could say it is an exceptionally good day to spend with your favourite spinners and enjoy the start of #SpindleBingo2026 - @spindlebingo ✨

Mjukt garn och saffransbullar borde trolla bort lite av det Novembergrå 💛

Till vår träff tog jag med tidningen Stickat & Sånt där jag är med på ett hörn.

”…så vågar jag hoppas att fler kommer upptäcka glädjen i att först spinna sitt garn och sen sticka av det!”

Visst känns det som att Guro visar just en del av den glädjen med det vackra vita alpacka -och silkesgarn hon just spunnit klart?!

Bara av att titta på hennes garn väcks spinnlusten i mig!

I händerna syns också min halsduk i #hettesettet från @raumagarn stickat #nutidenyarn ”Önska” från @honerocheir
Luvan är klar!

Guro har kommit lite längre på sin halsduk än jag på min, men hennes verkar inte fastnat på bild. Den är röd och växtfärgad med krapp av Guro själv ✌️

Jovita stickar #OlgaBlouse i @holstgarn #SuperSoft med en tråd #isagersilkmohair - så mysig känsla.

Blir alltid lika fascinerad över hur olika tröjor blir trots att vi stickat samma. Garn alltså - vilken grej ✨

En vecka in på mitt mission att lära mig spinna på slända och jag älskar det. Känslan av ull i händerna, den långsamma processen och det lite meditativa i det är väldigt härlig och jag har verkligen hittat ännu en hobby.
Nu har jag 15 gram kvar att spinna av den grå ullen och sen är det dags är tvinna, har fått bra tips av @nishiknits och jag hoppas det blir något vettigt och stickbart😅

Svårt att tro, men det har gått precis ett år sen vi sammanstrålade här för att spinna för första gången.

Garnet jag spinner på för ett år sen är i tröjan jag har på mig idag - bättre symmetri får man leta efter 😅

👇 Tag your Spinning Besties! 🧵 🐑 🧶

Christine (@nishiknits) and her two spinning besties spin regularly. Last year they got to know each other while taking an introductory spinning course together.

They hit it off and have since met regularly to spin. This Summer they organized this spinning vacation at a lovely summer house. We hope it is just one of many to come!

Per Christine, “We were all knitters before we were spinners and all of us (dog included 😀 ) are amazed at what spinning has brought in to our lives.”

What a great testament to the positive influence craft can have on many aspects of life and community! 👏 ❤️

Ett till par halvvantar är klara! Vantarna har jag stickat som ett visningsplagg till @jakobgarden som säljer garnet jag stickat i.

Color your stars-halvvantar ett mönster av Christine Enström @nishiknits . Haft span på vantarna ett tag och nu blev halvvantarna av. Vant-älskare som jag är. Fint mönster som var kul att sticka! Gjorde inga i-cords som det är i mönstret, utan 2 varm 1×1 ribb, helt enkelt för att jag inte fick det det nåt bra. Men det blev ju bra så här också!

Garnet kommer från @anitayarn och heter sammetsnatt och sommarnatt.Garnet är ull och angorablandning , supertrevligt och lyxigt garn! Försöker visa fluffet på sista videon.

Garnåtgång för mig var 24 g av grå och 19 gram av vita garnet.
