Just like that, Boston Valley Wellness Retreat is in the books!

The energy today was incredible! @torchedff, @yogijoshua_ @nitajudo and @cj_sampson_ all absolutely killed it in their classes!

There will be more pics but it's been a long day and I'm tired! And since today was such a hit, we're already talking about our next event, hopefully early September!

Keep an eye out for updates!

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, and it's a reminder that strength isn't just about pushing through—it's also about taking care of yourself.

3 years ago I had to shut down a business I was very passionate about but the industry had changed dramatically and it was becoming impossible to sustain! Needless to say it just about destroyed me financially and emotionally!
One evening through all of that turmoil I decided to go to a free yoga class hosted by @healbflo ! During savasana Cheryl played a cover version of "Let It Be" by JP Cooper and it was at that moment, while holding back tears, I realized I was where I needed to be with the people I needed to be with!!

The reality is that many men are struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, loneliness, and a lack of meaningful connection. Yet too often we're taught to keep it to ourselves, stay busy, and just keep moving forward.

While the Boston Valley Wellness Retreat is a coed event open to everyone, all of us hosting it @torchedff , @cj_sampson_ , @yogijoshua_ @nitajudo and myself are passionate about creating spaces where men feel comfortable exploring wellness practices that can genuinely improve their lives.

Throughout the retreat we'll be offering yoga, breathwork, sauna, cold plunge, meditation, meaningful conversation, and opportunities to connect with others in a supportive environment.

These practices aren't about being soft. They're about becoming stronger, more resilient, more present, and more capable of handling life's challenges.

If you've ever been curious about yoga, meditation, breathwork, or simply taking a day to reset your mind and body, this is a welcoming place to start.

Whether you're a man looking for a healthier way to manage stress, or someone who wants to invite an important man in your life to experience something new, we'd love to have you join us.

Let's continue changing the conversation around men's mental health—one breath, one sauna session, and one genuine connection at a time.

A quick observation about our upcoming Boston Valley Wellness Retreat:

Right now, about 85% of those registered are women and only 15% are men.

While we're excited about everyone who has signed up, we know many men could benefit from a day like this.

As men, we're often taught to push through stress and carry our burdens quietly. We rarely give ourselves permission to slow down, recharge, and focus on our well-being.

Speaking for myself, I'm 57 years old and have spent nearly 40 years working in the concrete industry. I've always believed in hard work, showing up, and getting the job done. But over the years I've also learned that taking care of my physical, mental, and emotional health isn't a luxury—it's a necessity.

Yoga, meditation, sauna, breathwork, and cold plunge have become valuable tools that help me manage stress, recover better, and show up stronger in every area of my life.

This retreat isn't about experience with yoga, meditation, sauna, or breathwork. It's about reducing stress, improving health, and taking time to reset.

Whether you're a husband, father, business owner, tradesman, athlete, or simply carrying the weight of everyday life, this experience is for you too.

If you've been feeling run down or overwhelmed, consider joining us. Sometimes the strongest thing we can do is invest in our own health and well-being.

Men, we'd love to see a few more of you there.

Search Boston Valley Wellness Retreat on Eventbrite or go to the link in my bio to register and we hope to see you there!

I was inspired by @nitajudo and her trip through the Niagara Gorge yesterday so I made plans to run-hike-climb the gorge today! On my way out of town this morning I passed Theresa getting her long run in and again I was inspired!! Thank you to all the women who keep inspiring me to get out there and chase down a goal, do something that feels good and celebrate life!!! I Put in 15 miles today along with lots of water!

I feel like I’m thirtylicous and loving it! Tomorrow I will feel twice my age!
