Standoff cleans up at Mount Vernon! 🏆

Not only did Standoff open the first iteration of the @mount_vernon_film_festival , it took home awards for both "Best Writing" and "Best Crime/Thriller Film." A huge round of applause for @n.r.keye for his screenplay and our talented Cast & Crew, who's work shows through every frame of the film.

We'd love to give a shoutout to Festival Director @bryanfilm123 He did a fantastic job organizing and running the first year of festival, as well as putting together an impressive slate of films, and informative panels

We'd highly recommend submitting a film to next year's festival to help this indie festival grow!

Big Apple hosted an incredible festival, and we were throughly impressed by the quality of the films, festival and theater. The film was well received in its block and many people sought us out after the screening to extend their congratulations.

One down, many more to come!

One of my favorite parts of filmmaking is editing. When it comes to sitting down with all of your footage it reverts me back to a writer’s mind. The difference is rather than having the freedom of putting your vision from mind to paper, you now have your film in pieces and can only work with what exists in your footage. Which is scary in itself… 😬

There’s no more fantastizing or conceptual brainstorming, it comes down to putting the puzzle together and rewriting your story by using visual literacy and spending A LOT of time with your characters.

A look behind the scenes of our latest short Standoff. 🎥 🎬

It's always a fun time on set with this group of filmmakers. The cast & crew was near identical to some of our previous shorts, and with this group of people, everyone brought their A-Game, as always. We had a blast making this project come to life!

Keep your eyes open for more BTS content for this film and our other films in the near future.
