7 #Zines to Rewire Your Creative Mind 🧠 What happens when a publication becomes a eulogy, a seaside diary, an archive of cracker labels, or an observation of laundry hanging out to dry? What if a zine arrived disguised as a box of food, or transformed overlooked railings into experimental furniture? From In The Name Of The Father, a moving tribute to family and remembrance, to Grafis Nusantara Vol.2, which preserves Indonesia’s overlooked graphic heritage, and Hang, where improvised drying racks become accidental urban compositions — these works challenge how stories are documented and shared. Elsewhere, miniature ceramic fèves, quiet reflections on self-improvement, solitary walks by the sea, and unnoticed details of city infrastructure become subjects worthy of entire publications. Swipe through 7 zines featured in A Book on Zines that remind us creativity often lives in the specific, the strange, and the deeply personal. ✨ Which one would you pick up first? ✂️📎📓

#OutNow Besides being a collection of independent publications that we know and love, A Book on Zines also spotlights the people, spaces, and communities keeping #zine culture alive today. 📓 The Behind the Zine section explores four sides of the ecosystem: from Production & Process with Risotto Studio, to Publishing & Platforms with Nieves and Hato Press; Events & Exposure through initiatives like Tokyo Art Book Fair and Pagemasters; and Culture & Community, featuring spaces such as Raum für Illustration and ZINE COOP. The book also includes a specially curated global zine map at the back, cataloguing #artbookfairs, festivals, and events worldwide for readers looking to dive deeper into #independentpublishing culture. 🌍 Typeface used @abcdinamo Available first at victionary.com ✨

My solo exhibition “another window” opens March 23 at GALLERY SAOH & TOMOS, Tokyo. The exhibition features works from my “#illusion #genei” series, screenprinted on mirrors. For this show, I’ve been working on new pieces inspired by the gallery space, with its many windows and soft natural light. The exhibition flyer was designed by nlieechi, inspired by the idea of multiple windows framing fragments of the world. First time printing with silver spot colour ink! Thank you as always for the beautiful design! I will be at the gallery on the opening and the final day. Hope to see you in Tokyo. exhibition flyer design / all photos by @nlieechi ー exhibition details: 2026.03.23 mon – 04.04 sat

Opening on 15 November 2025, 3 PM 🗓 Exhibition Duration: 15 Nov. 2025 – 11 Jan. 2026 🕛 Open daily 12:00–19:00 (closed on Mondays) 📍 Hangzhou Storage and Transportation Co. Ltd., Building 3, 3F-303, No.79 Fengshan Road What happens when playgrounds lose their function, but keep their motion? In Slides, Carousels, Seesaws, artist Feng Feng reconstructs familiar amusement rides using sponge foam and balsa wood. Slides, swings and carousels are no longer for riding, yet they continue to rotate, sway, and rise—like memories of movement left in space. The exhibition transforms the gallery into a temporary playground: a place to walk, watch, play and listen. Viewers are invited to step into rhythms, sounds and gentle vibrations of motion—where sculpture becomes play, and play becomes a way of thinking.
