Native planting was central to @lanegoodkind’s landscape design

Hummingbird sage, monkeyflower... buckwheat and other species were chosen for their place within the local ecosystem, not simply for their beauty

Rooted in Place

Nestled almost impossibly among enormous boulders and ancient oaks, this home by @nmaarchitects feels like one continuous visual narrative...

Our Santa Barbara project has been lovingly taken down to its bones, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to life. The natural beauty of the property has been our greatest inspiration, from the breathtaking Tree of Life to the sweeping mountain views. We’re so excited for what’s ahead and can’t wait to share more along the way. The best things take time. 🤍🌳

If we haven’t met yet, hi! I’m Meredith, founder and lead designer of @georgiastreetdesign, an interior design studio based in Charlotte, NC, designing projects coast to coast.

My philosophy has always been simple: live a well-designed life. That doesn’t mean a home that feels overly perfect or untouched. It means a home that feels beautiful, useful, and full of life. I find inspiration in travel, antiques, color, pattern, art, and the small details of everyday life, even on a walk with my dog, Georgie.

If you want to get in touch, use the link in bio or send me a DM. Would love to hear from you!

Beautiful homes do more than shelter us... they remind us what it means to feel cared for

A landscape that knows exactly when to make a statement

Thoughtfully designed by Elisa Read @studio_pappaterra, The Ridge Garden in Toro Canyon, Santa Barbara CA blends defensible space design principles with sculptural succulents, climate appropriate plants, and framed ocean views for fire-wise coastal living

Inspired by its unique setting, with sweeping coastal and mountain views, the patchwork colors of nearby chaparral, the hues of sunrise and sunset, and the distant shimmer of the sea, the property unfolds through a series of moments, framed vistas, sculptural plantings, and spaces that feel deeply connected to the surrounding terrain

A privilege to photograph a project where the landscape is both destination and backdrop
