From the first participant to 200,000! 🦘💙🤍

A truly historic day at Arden St as The Huddle celebrated an incredible milestone: celebrating the 200,000th youth participant!

I am so proud to be a supporter of @nmfchuddle for more than a decade, introducing thousands of new international students to the sport, culture and programs as The Huddle used the power of sport, education, and community to help young people from all walks of life learn, grow, and find a true sense of belonging.

Congratulations @cam.mcleod17 to you and your team for this amazing milestone and for welcoming me to be part of this growing network of incredible future leaders that many years ago 💙🤍. #garyleecious #motivitamin #dare2bdifferent

I also want to give the biggest shoutout to @yasseenmusaahmedin for being the OG, the champion of communities that have inspired me from day one, and still continue to motivate me up until today.

A great afternoon at North Melbourne for The Huddle @nmfchuddle 200K Celebration, marking the incredible milestone of the 200,000th young person participating in The Huddle, followed by North Melbourne FC AFLW @nmfcofficial clash with the Sydney Swans @sydneyswans .

It was particularly good to hear directly from young people about their journeys through The Huddle, from building confidence and finding employment to returning to lead programs they once participated in. A great demonstration of belonging, opportunity and community in action.

Great to catch up with many African Music and Cultural Festival (AMCF) @amcfoz stakeholders, supporters and friends, including NMFC President Sonja Hood AM @sonja.hood.9 , CEO Jen Watt, The Huddle CEO Cameron McLeod @cam.mcleod17 , US Consul General Colin Crosby, Gabrielle Connellan @g_connellan , Scanlon Foundation @scanloninstitute Sophie and Anthony Duggan, Andrea Davidson, Sarah Witty MP @sarah4melbourne , Simone Wilkie AO, Cassandra Hadson @casshadson , AMCF Steering Committee members Gary Lee OAM @garyleecious and Yasseen Musa OAM @yasseenmusaahmedin , Nor Shanino @nor_shanino , Dr Belle Lim @belle_x19 and many others.

And a terrific finish to the afternoon with the Kangas defeating the Swans 71–16! 🦘💙🤍

Congratulations to Cam and the entire Huddle team on 200,000 young people reached and an important milestone in a remarkable community journey.

Go Roos! 🦘

Yesterday, we had the best time @nmfchuddle school holiday volleyball tournament! 🏐

We set up a fuelling station packed with snacks to keep the young players going between matches. We also got to chat with them about how food supports energy, performance and recovery, with plenty of practical ideas they could try straight away!!

Such a fun way to bring nutrition to life through sport. Thanks to The Huddle for having us along! 💙🤍

She is Wyndham-based and her mum attends the club's Huddle Up! In Community Hubs program in Truganina.

Both will be here on Sunday for their first @aflwomens game with Noor set to do the coin toss 🪙
