POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

For such a long time, people have said to me, “Why don’t you stop playing state league and go make some money? You’re not getting drafted anymore.”

But what a lot of people didn’t understand was that, for me, it was never really about getting drafted.

Footy saved my life.

It gave me something to chase every day. It kept me driven to become the best version of myself, not just as a footballer, but as a person. For a long time, playing at the highest level I felt like I was worth something and I was something teams needed

After two ACLs back-to-back, I’ve had a lot of time to think, and I’ve realised I’ve beaten those demons now. I’m proud of the person I’ve become, and I don’t need to play at the highest level anymore to prove anything to myself or anyone else and footy isn’t my identity.

I’m still more driven than ever to play the best footy I can and I know I’ve still got so much to give, but I’m so excited to play some local footy. Been too much fun playing all over the state and so thankful for all the clubs and the people I’ve met along the way ❤️

Father-son draft prospect Sam Harris debuted for @nmfcreserves yesterday, booting an impressive goal in the fourth quarter against Geelong.

Son of North Melbourne 149-gamer, Daniel Harris, Sam was one of four father-sons lining up in the royal blue and white today, alongside Cooper Harvey, Bailey Scott and River Stevens. 💙🤍

VFL Premiership round 21 | North Melbourne VS Geelong

North Melbourne 12.7 - 79 | Geelong 16.17 - 113

Some really good shots here I feel, was privileged enough to have a nice vantage point. There is some really promising young talent coming through the VFL, the future of the AFL is exciting.
