How is this gorgeous girl still sitting in a shelter?!

Addy is a stunning 48-lb Border Collie mix with the looks, the brains, and the personality to steal your heart! 🐾❤️

She’s loving, playful, incredibly smart, and full of life! Addy is the kind of girl who would love having adventures with her person, learning new tricks, and then soaking up all the affection she can get.

Like many dogs, Addy has her little quirks. She’s unsure of some men and may need a little patience and reassurance while she builds trust. But there’s SO much to love about this beautiful girl!

At Polk County, that means her time could be running out. And the heartbreaking reality is that wonderful dogs like Addy are losing their lives simply because there isn’t enough space.

🚨🚨3 NEAR PERFECT PUPS TO BE EUTHANIZED AT NOON MONDAY🚨🚨

Trevor, Farley, and Freddy have already gotten their extension and the shelter is full 💔 They are all slated to be euthanized at 12pm est Monday‼️

We CANNOT let this happen! Trevor and Farley are just babies and Freddy is under two years old.

Freddy is HW+. This is NOT contagious, but it does require treatment. He needs a foster for the duration of his hw treatment - a rescue will pay for it - not you. You just need to give him a place to chill and some love while he gets better!

Trevor and Farley are only 8 months old and terrified in the shelter. They should be growing up in homes and need someone who will remember they are puppies who need decompression, patience, and training. With these things they will blossom into wonderful dogs.

🚨🚨These 11 dogs are URGENT for THURSDAY 9/3 at 7:30am at Polk County🚨🚨

This means they need to have a plan by end of day TODAY‼️

🩵Brewster - 2 year old handsome guy! Happy, playful, smart, trainable and treat motivated.
🩷Beans - Energetic, loving little pittie mix. She is HW+ and needs a FOSTER & PLEDGES for her treatment! Super dog and people friendly!!
🩵Rex - full of life! He would love an active owner/adventure buddy to get his wiggles out! He is HW+ and needs PLEDGES & a FOSTER for his treatment!!
🩵Rudy - sweetheart who came in to the shelter terrified, but is doing better. He just needs some TLC and patience and will be a wonderful dog. Dog friendly.
🩵Pepper - SENIOR - 9 years old old coon hound mix. He had an owner who passed away. He’s sad in the shelter and misses his person. He still knows all of the tricks they taught him. He’s smart and loving.
🩷Rita - Needs a FOSTER & PLEDGES! She is hw+ and needs funds to help cover her treatment and a place where she can hang out while she gets treatment until she finds her forever home. 2 years old and dog friendly.
🩵Shadow - SENIOR - 8 years old, but still has spring in his step! He is a gentle giant who is great on a leash and likely potty trained. Tested well with other dogs. Owner said good with children.

🩷Bingo - sweetest girl!! She is less than a year old and just a DOLL!!
🩵Felix - from a neglect case - has been recovering at the shelter. Has been through hell, yet remains gentle and sweet.

🩵Bruce - super cute guy who is very strong and very smart. He needs an owner who well dedicated to time to training and setting and marinating boundaries with him.

This beautiful 3 year old girl LOVES to give kisses. 😘 She is happy, active, and enjoys running the fenceline with doggie friends.

Seadra can be vocal when she plays with doggie friends. It is recommended that Seadra go to a home with no other animals. Although she did great with big husky Sammy while in the neighboring run, Seadra is a talker with playful energy, and her personality may simply not mesh well with every dog.

Beautiful little Seadra. ❤️ Let’s get this joyful girl back into a home—and hopefully this time, forever.

URGENT!!!!‼️ Let’s help BARTOW

I think we can all remember when we all found out about Clayton County and how they run their shelter. We were all devastated!! We all came together and rallied and helped the volunteers post and spread the word for the voiceless. I am just now hearing and learning about Bartow county. Even worse, they do not let public adoptions. Rescue only!!!! We ALL know that’s damn near impossible with the dog crisis we have here in GA and throughout the world. I found an amazing advocate/ volunteer. I would love if we could all come together and help get her page seen. Help her get the followers she deserves for these sweet innocent souls. My heart breaks knowing that most of these pups get euthanized!!!! @savethedogsofbartowcountyga please share her page and please share to rescues!!!

Hi, my name is Elba 🐾

I was tied tightly to a stop sign with no water, no food, during a storm. I don’t know how long I was there… just waiting, hoping someone would see me.

I was found and taken in, but sadly I had to be given up again because dogs aren’t allowed where I was staying.

I’m about 1.5 years old and I’m a mama. I once had puppies, but when I was no longer needed, I was left behind.

Now I’m in a shelter. It’s loud, it’s scary at times, and it’s not a home.

But I’m still gentle. I still trust. I still walk up to people with love in my heart.

I don’t need much,just someone who won’t give up on me again.

Please don’t scroll past me. I’m ready to go home.
