Michigan native, @noahhmiller is a documentary filmmaker, MDiv student at @calvinseminary , and the founder of “Outsiders Creative,” a space design for creatives to connect and share ideas. He recently traveled to Budapest, and found himself captivated by the beauty of St. Stephen’s Basilica. Within the relics and work left behind by creatives and innovators of the past, he observes the call that we are all invited into: Make Something Beautiful.

Life Lately | June - August 2026
.
Oh boy. It has been such a while and so much has happened to the point where I wanted to make a reel covering it, but just simply didn’t have to time to make it proper. So, a post and caption is gonna do.
Now, where do I begin?
Well, I was lucky and honored to AD for a feature film directed by @samversea. Then, followed that up with attending @cansfilmfest. I submitted, didn’t get in, but it was still great to go and support and watch so many other talented creatives, and I would recommend just attending any local festival just to support it. From there, I joined a crew to take on @detroit48hfp which was hectic and fun in all the right ways. And then capped it all off by filming in GR with @realpickyp.
.
I’m honestly just as surprised as you might be from how full my plate became, but I’m so happy I did. And if there was anyone who needs or wants advice, I would tell you the same thing that launched me into these escapades this summer and that is “to just go out.” There are people out there and they will accept you. You may not just be the greatest you want to be, but that doesn’t mean you are your best you, and no one can replace that.

I have been working through a study on the topic of Joy in the New Testament!

Today I began to outline the structure of what will be the compilation of many hours of research and writing into what will hopefully become a book on the topic.

Joy is present from the announcement of Christ (Luke 2:10) into the world to His ascension (Luke 24:52) and beyond. This study has helped me become more aware of the significance of Joy in the life of a Christian. I’m prayerful that what I have found will encourage people to seek Joy and embody it as we witness to Christ in a world deficient of Joy.

Thankful for good vibes on the record player to keep the creativity flowing.

Last Saturday I had the privilege to run my second marathon, but this time on a trail!

The whole race was humbling and the run was emotional. I kept on reflecting how God designed our bodies to do incredible things — even something I never dreamed I could do a few years ago. I hope this might encourage you to attempt something WILD!

Being reminded that God has not given us a spirit of cowardice or fear, but of power, love and discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7)

There were moments where I wanted to quit. Moments where I thought I wasn’t going to be able to finish. So I am thankful for the people in my life who prayed and supported me during my training and the day of the race!
