I won’t mention who caused me severe ptsd with over-the-phone sales reps, but it rhymes with “lint bobile”

Make it make sense.

Shifting from designer to strategist, I was constantly looking to better communicate and simplify the often mysterious and vague nature of “feely” words to be better understood.

Dr. Christine E. Looser has done just that. You can listen to more of her conversation on @thefuturishere podcast, ep. 138

Well Placed

Before we create an identity system for a client, we want to make sure we’re both on the same page aesthetically.

When you say “it needs to feel warm”, that could be interpreted lots of different ways:
•Warm, like cocoa by the fire?
•Warm, like the leather seat of your car baking in the sun?
•Warm, like a hug from a loved one?

To quote the great Inigo Montoya, “You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.” By digging deeper, we’re both able to have a clearer view of what the real goal is.
