To kick off our first After Hours at its new home on Thursday, July 30th, we had to bring out the homie @jsmooth.dj to celebrate his birthday with us down in the @growlerstavern basement.

Jsmooth has been absolutely crushing it around town lately, playing all your favorite spots and collaborating with just about everyone in the scene. After catching a few of his recent sets, he’s easily become one of our favorite house selectors in Wilmington.

@nochasermusic, @arkivez, and @light.blue.lights will also be helping christen the new spot, so expect the genres to be all over the place in the best way. We’re seriously hyped for this one. More space, a bigger dance floor, and plenty to do if you need a break from getting down.

This isn’t the end of an era. It’s the beginning of a bigger one.

For the past three years, AFTER HOURS at Ivey has been home. What started as a small, free Thursday night get together turned into something way bigger than we ever imagined. We’ve met so many incredible people, watched local talent grow, and made memories we’ll be talking about for years.

As hard as it was to make this decision, we’re beyond excited for what’s next

AFTER HOURS is moving to @growlerstavern

A bigger space. Pool tables, shuffleboard, skee-ball, arcade games, darts… and it’s in a basement.

It only felt right to finally take Subsurface underground (Literally)

Starting this month, and every last Thursday moving forward, you’ll find us at Growlers from 10PM–2AM doing what we do best. Same energy & still 100% free
