On this day, October 25, 1970, Jon Bunch was born. Remembering the voice behind Reason to Believe & Sense Field on his Birthday.

From Southern California hardcore to Sense Field’s releases on Revelation Records, Jon brought power & warmth to everything he sang. He later carried that unmistakable voice into Further Seems Forever.

His music meant a lot to people who grew-up with these records! It still does. I got to see Reason to Believe in ‘89 & Sense Field in ‘95. Happy Birthday, Jon! Rest in Peace & Salute to the Legend.

Two years ago, Will Haven played at the Troubadour, however a surprise reunion of the pre-Will Haven band Sock played three songs after the first set. This was a deep cut of early 90s metallic hardcore. This was a great opportunity to capture a band that only existed for a few years without much appreciation.

Here is a snippet of the bands we recommended to check out from Harrisonburg and the DMV on No Echo’s article on the band!

“Post Truth: From a Minor Threat Cover Set to a Band of Their Own.”

Muscle (@muscle_is_king): Baltimore’s best-kept secret, delivering some of the most exiting, punk around.

Andrew George (@andandrewgeorge): A great songwriter known for passionate and technical guitar playing.

Machete (@machete.exe): The sloppy-drunk hardcore noise-punk band at the beating heart of Harrisonburg’s DIY scene.

Lay Waste (@laywastegrind): A politically driven grind core band bringing brutal intensity to Virginia’s DIY scenes.

Make sure to check out all the artists and bands! Follow, stream, and go their next show! Thank you, No Echo, for the opportunity to showcase some great acts!
