Come visit our Open Studios at the LMCC @lmcc_nyc Art Center tomorrow (Saturday) 8/22/26 from 12-5 🎧 I will be sharing the work i’ve been creating here for the past 5 months - all related to sound work focusing on invertebrates of compost environments at @earthmatterny , the Earth Matter Lavender Field, and ant nests under brick walkways here on Governor’s Island 🔊 I am excited to share sound, prototypes for a bioplastic vibroacoustic soil sensor, and to chat abt how ive been writing percussion in response to/ along to soils as well as the vibration of the LMCC art center itself, pointing towards the continuum of vibrations between air, architectures, and insects soil and plant habitats. Come hang and definitely do not miss my amazing colleagues / neighbors studios - lots of magic happening here 💫

This year I completed a teaching artist residency with ProjectArt at the Jackson Heights Library, teaching art classes to children while quietly relearning what creativity looks like in its purest form. Their drawings, honesty, spontaneity, and complete lack of fear around making deeply influenced the work I created this year.

Tonight we open Shared Currents, an exhibition bringing together the work of other incredible teaching artists and students across New York and Newark. Going on the list of one of the most meaningful exhibitions I’ve ever been part of. 🤍

I’m so excited to finally share the work I’ve been developing during my @projectartusa residency!
Spending this past year teaching weekly art classes at the Glen Oaks Public Library has been an incredible journey. The experience inspired me to create a new body of work exploring the question, “Where are you from?”
I’m excited to share that these pieces will be exhibited alongside incredible works by my fellow resident artists and our students.

The exhibit is up from May 28 to June 7 at @all.st.nyc
Opening reception: May 30, 5–8pm.
