Rooftop views and free-flowing prosecco for Venice’s biggest tradition on the Grand Canal. 🥂✨

Watching the Regata Storica from the rooftop of Palazzo Barocci offers a front-row seat to over 700 years of living history.

Historical Highlights:

Ancient Origins: The first official record of Venetian boat races date back to the mid-13th century. It was originally used to train the republic’s galley crews in naval combat and endurance.

Royal Homage: The grand historical parade (Corteo Storico) recreates the lavish welcome given to Caterina Cornaro, Queen of Cyprus, who abdicated her throne to Venice in 1489.

The Bucintoro: The fleet is led by faithful reconstructions of 16th-century ceremonial vessels, including the Doge’s state barge (Bucintoro), with rowers clad in period costumes.

Traditional Technique: Competitors row using Voga alla Veneta, the unique stand-up rowing technique designed specifically to navigate the shallow Venetian lagoon.

The music video defined a lot of my style as a filmmaker.

You a paper chaser
You got your block on fire
Remaining a G until the moment you expire
You know what it is to make nothing out of something
You handle your biz and don’t be cryin and suffering

For 90 years, the New Orleans Alumnae Chapter has illuminated the path of service, sisterhood, scholarship, and social action.

Last night, the city shined with us.

As the iconic Superdome and Crescent City Connection glowed in our colors, we celebrate nine decades of unwavering commitment, transformative leadership, and a legacy that continues to light the way for generations to come.

90 years strong. 90 years of impact. 90 years of Delta excellence.
