Just a reminder……

Animal abuse should be enough to warrant serious punishment. FULL STOP.

But if protecting animals isn’t enough for you, maybe protecting children is.

The FBI has long recognized the connection between animal cruelty and violence against humans.

Animal cruelty isn’t just an animal welfare issue. It’s a public safety issue.

But again, hurting even one animal, makes you a psychopath that shouldn’t be in society. 🤷🏻‍♀️

💛THE STORY 💛 PT 1
a LOT of social media posts about this unhoused woman and her dogs — and unfortunately, what followed was a wave of hate.
People have driven by yelling at her, harassing her and even throwing things — including a glass bottle that shattered where her dogs and puppies walk.
So instead of judging her from a social media post, we decided to go see for ourselves.
We met Griselda, a survivor of domestic violence who had an apartment until May. Since then, she has been living under an overpass with four adult dogs and eight puppies.
We asked if she would let us spay and neuter all of her dogs. She agreed. But also said that five puppies already had homes, so we offered to return the next morning and fix them before they left. But just over 12 hours later, four puppies were gone.
The social media hate had made Griselda afraid to trust people — including us. She didn’t know who was really there to help.
So rather than get angry and walk away, we tried to understand her fear and earn her trust. She came with us and stayed with her dogs while they had surgery.
When we returned, one of the puppies she had given away was there with a man on a bicycle who was clearly in no condition to safely care for a puppy.
We explained to Griselda that this was exactly what we feared — puppies ending up with people who aren’t equipped to care for them.
She agreed to let us take the four remaining puppies and promised to get the other puppy back. Three puppies are still unaccounted for, which breaks our hearts.
Then we asked for Mom.
She said yes — but only if we took Dad too.
Deal. ❤️
She asked for the weekend to say goodbye and promised to keep them safe until we return Monday morning.
We are choosing to trust her the same way we asked her to trust us.
🚨 RESCUE NEEDED MONDAY MORNING 🚨
We need a reputable rescue — or multiple rescues — willing to take Mom, Dad and four puppies, potentially five.

Now we need our rescue friends to help us get this family safe. ❤️🐾

This sweet little girl is totally overwhelmed and could use an exit ASAP from the south Los Angeles shelter. She’s three years old and 17 pounds. She was spayed today and is ready to go home with an adopter or a Rescue. Her owner surrender Notes say that she is good with young children and people in general and she lived with several dogs. All of the notes are positive and tell the story of a very sweet dog. Hurry :) Marble #A2295637 3yo spayed female (owner surr notes say she’s 1), 17lbs

Los Angeles leaders and all those whose job it is to protect the animals think ignoring, gaslighting and lying to us and the public will make us shut up and go away.

It won't.

It's making us angrier, more united, louder and determined than ever. We are not and will not ever accept what is happening as the "norm." It's not. It's diabolical.

Today's UNHINGED podcast episodes were incredible.

The horrors animals are enduring and the mental anguish and trauma the humans fighting for them are going through is all preventable and fixable. But Los Angeles "leaders" and others are purposely allowing it all to happen.

Everyone has two choices. You can be part of the solution and on the right side of history by joining the fight for the animals or you can say silent, inactive and pretend to not see it.

If you choose the latter - you are part of the problem and don't get to complain when animal abusers commit crimes against you, your children and your communities -- cause they will. The @standupforpitsfoundation has been screaming this truth for 16 years -- "where there is animal abuse, there is always other crime." We screamed it at our nations capitol back in 2014 and have not stopped - yet some choose to live in stupidity instead of the truth.

If you have been this person, change. Wake up. Use your voices. Fight against all who condone cruelty and mass killing.

Thank you to all the amazing guests and everyone who is making the podcast possible. There were some moments of joy had by everyone today and we fucking deserve it. The @standupforpitsfoundation is honored to provide a voice for those dedicated to educating, advocating and saving lives and who too are unhinged and enraged by the torture and mass killing on streets and in "No Kill" shelters. We are shooting more episodes tomorrow.

About last night at the Disney Emmy party. Daria and I did not mean to match, but how cute are we?
Thank you @televisionacad for honoring my dad — seeing his photo mid ceremony would have tickled him, and @jamieleecurtis wearing her heart on her sleeve, personifying love and strength, would have surely made him smile.
I have been in this business over 30 years, and on some level, I feel like I’m just getting started. I saw so many old friends last night, women who championed me early in my career, and still kicking ass. I saw my @hulu family, which I’m so lucky to be a part of. I saw actors I admire, laughed with executives I’d just met, and finished the night eating pizza in the car on the way home.
All in all, it was a perfect night celebrating television and all the people that make it.
