🌑 CYCLES & INTUITION 🌑

Leah and I have shared a lot of conversations about intuition, healing, the wisdom of the body and the different paths that bring us back to ourselves. Although our practices are different, we discovered something essential in common:
A deep trust in what happens when we slow down enough to LISTEN.
Through breath, sound, presence and inner exploration, we have both witnessed the same thing again and again: The answers we seek are often not outside of us.
They are waiting beneath the noise.
Beneath the expectations.
Beneath the endless doing.
Beneath the stories we tell ourselves.

As the New Moon approaches, we felt called to create a space for women to gather.
A space to breathe.
To feel.
To listen.

A space where sound becomes a guide, where writing becomes a conversation with your soul, where meaningful questions invite deeper reflection and where sharing reminds us that we are never walking this path alone.

Because sometimes, hearing another woman’s story helps us understand our own. And sometimes, all it takes is a moment of stillness to hear the quiet voice within that has been there all along.

If you have been craving a deeper connection with yourself, your intuition and like-minded women, perhaps this evening is for you :)

✨ Preparing Your Breath, Preparing Your Body ✨
Before the full breathwork practice begins, we start with a gentle breathing exercise. This simple technique helps calm your nervous system, bring your attention into the present moment, and prepare your mind and lungs for the deeper exploration ahead. Breathing slowly and with awareness activates the body’s relaxation response, lowers stress signals, and sets the rhythm for what comes next 🌬️💫

The Science Behind the Breath 🔬🌬️

Breathwork is rooted in biology and neuroscience that is finally being validated.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what happens in your body when you breathe with intention:

Nervous System Reset: Shifts you from “fight-or-flight” (sympathetic) mode to “rest-and-digest” (parasympathetic) mode, signaling safety to your brain.

Vagus Nerve Activation: Stimulates your body’s natural “calm switch,” lowering heart rate and inflammation.

Oxygen Efficiency: Balances O₂/CO₂ levels for better oxygen release to tissues, boosting clarity (Bohr effect).

Cortisol Reduction: Lowers stress hormones, improving emotional resilience.

Emotional Release: Helps bypass mental chatter to release tension and stored emotional residue from the body.

Your breath is the most accessible, powerful, built-in tool you have for managing stress and boosting your mood.

Try it now: Inhale slowly for 4 counts, exhale gently for 6 counts. Repeat and feel the difference.

I had the most stunning session in Bundoran last Friday for @saltwater_festival wellness section in aid of @liquid.therapy — a multi-award winning charity which provides inclusive and adaptive surf therapy programmes that are beneficial to our physical and mental health. Their mission is that the mental health and wellbeing benefits of the Ocean and surfing are available to all. I will always support a good cause, especially on our stunning west coast. 🌊✨

Our breath is our anchor. Our breath is our life force and when we drop in, surrender and let go — we allow ourselves to access our inner subconscious, rewire anything that has held us back and step into our divine power as humans in this experience.

We also get the amazing health benefits of breathwork. It is truly an incredible modality that, if we learn how to harness, magical things happen.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to be part of this festival 🙏 Will be back 100%. And thank you to the amazing participatants showing up and dropping in. It’s a pleasure to facilitate and hold space. ❤️

Also will be returning to Sligo this Saturday to host a session and Bundoran again for a winter session in December ❤️🔥
