In today’s episode, we’re bringing you some highlights from the live conversations recorded at @amsterdamcoffeefestival earlier this year – exploring the innovation and consumer trends shaping the European coffee market and beyond.

First up we unpack how Gen Z and younger consumers are reshaping expectations and driving demand for wellness, authenticity and in-store experience. With Ilya Aksamentov, @theminerscoffee, Bryan Serwatka, @minorfigures, and Kendra Kroon & Amijé van der Laan, @shotcoffee.ams.

Next, we take a look at the latest beverage innovations redefining cafe experience and explore how non-coffee drinks like matcha, chai and functional ingredients are becoming major growth drivers. With Isabella Miglinci, @aiyaeurope, Lucia Parlanti, @goodteastories, Tristan Meulenbelt, @oatly, and Salma Tabiat, @nomadschai.

We also explore bakery trends to find out how cafes are evolving into all day hospitality concepts and why quality food is becoming as important as great coffee. With Nils Klinkspoor of Corri Bakery, Marion Waterkeyn, @gerard.bakery, and Mitchel Charles, @farine.amsterdam.

To close the episode, we take a look at the role of community in modern coffee brands, and why loyalty is driven by belonging, not just product quality. With Veronique Lagarde, @dakcoffeeroasters, Murray Robertson, @theamsterdamcoffeerun, and coffee influencer, Sam Lasaroms, @koffietje.nl.

Went and had loads of fun @amsterdamcoffeefestival and learnt a couple of very hands hacks from @barista_caitlin of ways to make latte art 💕 Had also loads of tastings , I think by the time I left the festival , I was high on caffeine 😌 and absorbed loads of information that is very interesting and useful to know about coffee + snagged some freebies too . 💯 Definitely recommended even if you don’t drink coffee ( i dragged my husband who’s an exclusively tea lover to the festival and he loved it too! ) . If you wanna see more, full video coming out next week on my YouTube channel !

Till next year #acf2026 ! ☕️

DAY 2 REALLY SAID: ONE MORE DRINK ☕️👀

…and somehow that turned into a new favourite roaster, a couple of “wait I need this” moments, and at least one drink you’re still thinking about. 💭

Today was that kind of day — full of great coffee, good conversations, and even better vibes. 👯‍♀️

So tell us… what stood out for you today?
The best cup? A surprise find? Something you accidentally bought? 👇

Not ready for it to end? Same. Luckily, we’re not done yet. 😃

Tomorrow kicks off with a run by @theamsterdamcoffeerun from NDSM Loods at 09:45, then it’s cuppings with @interamericancoffee_eu, @reco.ams and more, 🔥 one-on-one roasting sessions with @aillioeurope, and an interactive deep dive into Why Milk Matters with @milbok_befood … and yes, you can even get a #coffeehenna in The Makers Market 🤩

Final day = last chance to do it all (or at least try) 👀
