This antique dress has been part of my collection for more than 30 years. I found it while traveling in Peshawar, at the Shinwari Market, where Afghan dealers sold beautiful textiles and clothing.

I believe it may be Hazara, or perhaps from Kandahar, though I can’t say for certain. I often kept it for cultural fashion shows, and I believe I presented it as a Kandahar dress.
